Flood Waters Break Dam in Northern Lakhopur, Community Builds Bamboo Bridge

In Northern Lakhopur, Pachim Nalbari, the flood waters of the Burhadia River have broken the dam, causing significant damage and disrupting rural transport. Ambulance services, transport for school children, and public transport have all been affected. In response, the people of North Lakhopur village in the Barkhetri assembly constituency have come together to build a bamboo bridge over the broken dam.
