BJYM Ladakh Holds Vijay Divas Rally in Kargil
BJYM Ladakh organized a Vijay Divas rally in Kargil, led by Shri Khursheed Ahmad, along with Padma Dorjay (Councillor, Khangral Constituency), Shri Thinless Nurbu (President, BJYM Ladakh), Mohd Hussain (General Secretary, BJYM Ladakh), Shri Mohd Ali Majaz (Chairman, Haj Committee Ladakh), and Tashi Gyalson (Vice President, BJYM Ladakh). Ex-MP Ladakh Shri Jamyang Tsering Namgyal and Shri Anmol Sovit (National Executive Member) also attended the event.
Zanskar's Stanzin Daechan Selected for Asian Judo Championships 2024
In a remarkable achievement, Stanzin Daechan from Pibiting village in Zanskar, Kargil, has been selected to represent India in the -57 kg category at the Asian Judo Championships 2024. The international event is set to take place in South Korea this August. Daechan's selection comes on the heels of her impressive performance at the All India National trials, where she secured the 1st position in the open selection trial.

आज कारगिल में राष्ट्रीय प्रसारण दिवस मनाया गया। इस मौके पर आर्मी द्वारा संचालित कम्युनिटी रेडियो स्टेशन में विशेष कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। कार्यक्रम में आर्मी के अधिकारी और सिंगो जोन से आए पंच, सरपंच सहित अन्य लोग मौजूद थे। राष्ट्रीय प्रसारण दिवस के अवसर पर CRS द्वारा गांव के 45 लोगों को रेडियो FM वितरित किए गए। भाषण के दौरान लोगों ने आर्मी का धन्यवाद किया और कहा कि दूरदराज के क्षेत्रों में FM रेडियो बहुत उपयोगी साबित हो रहा है।

The Ladakh Academy of Art, Culture and Languages organized a two-day Hussaini poetry event in Kargil, UT Ladakh, commemorating Muharram. Executive Councillor LAHDC Kargil, Aga Syed Mujtaba, attended as the chief guest. Poets recited verses in Balti, Shina, Purgi, and Urdu languages, celebrating cultural diversity and religious observance. The event showcased local literary talents and fostered community engagement during the sacred month.
Kargil Labour Board Distributes ₹2.98 Crore to 3,700 Workers
The Assistant Labour Commissioner of Kargil, UT Ladakh, established the first Welfare Board, distributing Rs. 2.98 crore as incentives among 3,700 laborers. At the Conference Hall in Baroo today, the ALC Kargil UT Ladakh provided the first incentive for laborers' financial assistance after forming the Ladakh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. CEC Kargil LAHDC Dr. Jaffar Akhone attended the event as a special guest.

This day marked the union of all teachers association under one umbrella.With the same spirit,the GII and GIII teachers of Kargil have dissolved their respective district organisation for the larger good of all and the executive body members have tendered their resignation . There exist no association at the district level as of now.

लद्दाख में इन दिनों बढ़ती गर्मी के साथ-साथ दूकानदारों के कारोबार पर असर पड़ा है। गर्मी की बढ़ती समस्या के चलते सभी प्राइवेट और सरकारी स्कूलों को 15 दिनों की छुट्टियों की घोषणा की गई है। पिछले चार वर्षों से लद्दाख में गर्मी लगातार बढ़ रही है और बारिश भी कम हो रही है जिससे किसानों और एप्रिकॉट उत्पादकों को भी मुश्किल का सामना करना पड़ रहा है।

MP Ladakh Haji Hanifa Jan, along with CEC LAHDC Kargil Dr. Jaffar Akhone, DC Kargil Shrikant Balasaheb Susi, and SSP Kargil Shri Ram, reviewed preparations for the 9th and 10th of Muharram in Kargil. The officials met with members of Anjumana Jamiatul Ulma Isna Ashira Kargil and Imam Khomani Memorial Trust Kargil. They also consulted with representatives from DHK CMO and PHE to ensure proper arrangements for the observance of Muharram in the region.
4 Days Multi Super Specialist Mega Camp Organised by LAHDC Kargil Ashoka Mission
Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Kargil, Ashoka Mission and District Intezamia are participating in the free Mega Super specialist Medical camp or district hospital Kargil. LAHDC Kargil, the first free media camp in Ladakh since last year, is being started in support of Ashoka Mission and District Administration which is benefiting the local people a lot, Inauguration of this Mega Camp is held by CEC LAHDC Kargil Dr Jaffar Akhone.

In Drass SBI Launches Kargil Tiger Hill Challenge, 25,000 Join Virtual Marathon
The SBI Kargil Tiger Hill Challenge was flagged off today at the War Memorial in Drass. This 85-day virtual marathon, running from May 3 to July 26, consists of 4 phases. The 3rd phase was inaugurated by Binod Kumar, Deputy Managing Director of State Bank of India, along with other bank officials. The event has attracted 25,000 participants who can join from anywhere in India. This challenge honors the Kargil War heroes and aims to promote fitness and patriotism among citizens.
Indian Army Dedicates Sports Stadium in Aryan Valley to Honor Late Capt. Manoj Panday
On the eve of the 25th Rajat Janti of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Indian Army dedicated a well-equipped sports stadium to the public at Aryan Valley, Garkon. This stadium was built in loving memory of the Late Capt. Manoj Panday. The inauguration was attended by the Corp Commander of the 14 Corps, the DC Kargil, the SSP Kargil, Brigadier 192, senior officers, and the public. In tribute to the Late Maj. Manoj Panday, the Indian Army, through the 192 Brigade, constructed this facility.

Commemorative Bike Rally in Kargil Celebrates 25 Years of Kargil Vijay Diwas
To honor the bravery and sacrifice of the Indian Army, a commemorative bike rally was held on 2 July 2024, from the Old Kargil Memorial to Randhawa Top (Point 13620). This event marks the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, celebrating India's victory over Pakistan in the 1999 Kargil War.
