Feroz KhanThe SBI Kargil Tiger Hill Challenge was flagged off today at the War Memorial in Drass. This 85-day virtual marathon, running from May 3 to July 26, consists of 4 phases. The 3rd phase was inaugurated by Binod Kumar, Deputy Managing Director of State Bank of India, along with other bank officials. The event has attracted 25,000 participants who can join from anywhere in India. This challenge honors the Kargil War heroes and aims to promote fitness and patriotism among citizens.

महराजगंज : पुरंदरपुर थाना क्षेत्र के मोहनपुर ढाला पर हाईवे पर सड़क निर्माण कार्य चल रहा है। सोमवार देर रात निर्माणाधीन ब्रिज पर काम के दौरान अचानक ब्रिज ढह गया, जिसके मलबे में दबकर आठ मजदूर घायल हो गए। हादसे के बाद मजदूरों की चीख-पुकार सुनकर आसपास के ग्रामीण मौके पर पहुंचे और पुलिस को सूचना दी। पुलिस ने तुरंत मौके पर पहुंचकर घायल मजदूरों को मलबे से निकाला और इलाज के लिए फरेंदा सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र भेजा। पुरंदरपुर थाना प्रभारी धर्मेंद्र सिंह ने बताया कि हाईवे निर्माण कार्य के दौरान यह हादसा हुआ। सभी घायल मजदूरों को अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है और उनकी हालत खतरे से बाहर है।

इलाईट चौराहा पर महिला कांग्रेस की शहर अध्यक्ष आशिया सिद्धिकी के नेतृत्व में जम्मू- कश्मीर के पहलगाम में हुये आतंकी हमले निर्दोष पर्यटकों की हत्या किये जाने के विरोध में आतंकवाद का पुतला फूंका। इस मौके पर एड. वैभव भारत बट्टा ने कहा कि आतंकवाद के खिलाफ देश में इस कदर आक्रोश का माहौल है कि अब तो महिलायें भी घरों से बाहर निकल आई है केंद्र सरकार को आतंकवाद और आतंकवाद को पनाह देने वालों के खिलाफ बयानों का नही बल्कि हथियारों का प्रयोग करना चाहिये। शहर अध्यक्ष महिला कांग्रेस आशिया सिद्धिकी ने कहा कि पाकिस्तान घुटनों पर आ गया है लेकिन वो अपनी नाकामी छिपाने के लिये भारत में आतंकवाद को बढ़ावा दे रहा है।
