निजामाबाद एनकाउंटर: आरोपी रियाज की मौत, पुलिस ने बचाए साथी पुलिसकर्मियों को

NIZAMABAD ENCOUNTER STORY Tension gripped Nizamabad district after Riyaz, a known rowdy sheeter, was killed in a police encounter at the Nizamabad Government Hospital on Monday evening. Riyaz, who had been involved in several violent incidents, recently stabbed CCS PC named Pramod who died on spot, Riyaz escaped. Then a TS Govt announced 50K reward on Riyaz this created a compilation and a local mechanic Sayad Asif gave information and Riyaz attacked him brutally. Riyaz was taken under police custody for a medical checkup he was shifted to the govt hospital medical ward. Local injured Sayed Asif was shifted to Hyderabad due to serious injury. Following the attack, police intensified their surveillance and kept Riyaz under custody at the Government Hospital for treatment. However, on Monday night, Riyaz attempted to escape from the ward by snatching a weapon from a police officer and trying to open fire on them. Said Telangana DGP in a note. According to Commissioner of Police Sai Chaitanya, IPS, while addressing media meet he said... “It’s an unfortunate incident. Our reserved inspector, who was on duty, heard a loud sound from inside the ward. Riyaz tried to grab the police weapon and aimed it at the officer. To protect his fellow policemen, the RI opened fire. Riyaz was shot in the process.” The CP added that the officer had no other option and the case is under investigation. The encounter has stirred strong reactions across Telangana, as Riyaz was already facing multiple criminal cases in Nizamabad. Senior officers, including DGP B. Shivadhar Reddy, are reviewing the situation, while the police have assured that a detailed report will be submitted following the investigation.
