Varanasi कार्यक्रम में राजामौली के हनुमान पर बयान से बवाल, FIR दर्ज

Hyderabad: At a promotional event in Varanasi, director SS Rajamouli sparked controversy with his remarks about faith. He said he felt emotionally let down and expressed doubts about Lord Hanuman. “I don’t have much faith in gods… I don’t believe in God. My dad said Lord Hanuman will take care of things for me… Is this how he leads me?” He also mentioned that his wife is a strong devotee of Hanuman, and clarified that his comments were made in frustration due to technical glitches during the event. These remarks triggered outrage from several Hindu groups, who accused him of hurting religious sentiments. A police complaint was filed, and a FIR has been registered against the filmmaker. Reacting to the controversy, Goshamahal BJP MLA T. Raja Singh demanded a boycott of Rajamouli’s film Varanasi. He said that Rajamouli’s comments had deeply hurt Hindu sentiments and criticized him for “making money using our gods while openly saying he doesn’t believe in them.” Raja Singh warned the director to “stay away from our faith and beliefs.”
