Cricket Tournament under Civic Action Programme 41 Battalion Border Security Force, Gogoland. Under its Civic Action Programme, inaugurated a Cricket Tournament commencing on 18.12.2025 at Gogoland campus. The initiative aims to engage the local youth of the areas in sports activities, promote discipline, teamwork and sportsmanship, and strengthen the mutual trust and cooperation between the local population and the Force. The closing ceremony was graced by Shri Raghubir Singh, Dy. Inspector General, Sector Srinagar as chief guest, who encouraged the players to participate with true sporting spirit and maintain the discipline both on and off the field. He emphasized that sports play a vital role in character building and positive development. Senior BSF officers, representatives of the local administration, village elders, and a large number of sports enthusiasts were present during the event. Total 08 teams from various villages/areas participated in the tournament on a knockout basis. The participating teams were Gogoland Cricket Club, Diamond Cricket Club, Shining Star Cricket Club, Sheikh -Ul-Alam Sports Club, EIDGHA-11 Cricket Club, Humhama Cricket Association Club, KP Star Cricket Club And Gudsatho Cricket Club. Final match was played between K P Star Cricket Club and Sheikh-Ul-Alam Sports Club in which emerged K P Star Cricket Club as the winner of. The wining team was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 10000/-, & wining trophy while the runner-up team received of Rs. 7500/- & runner-up trophy from the Chief Guest. The BSF remains committed to community welfare and youth empowerment in their area of responsibility through such constructive initiatives.
