BJP State Secretary Anita Chandpuri on Tuesday hit back at PDP leader Iltija Mufti’s recent tweet, stating that such comments ignore the ground realities of a transformed Jammu & Kashmir. Chandpuri said Iltija must “realise the difference between the two times — one before 2019 and one after 2019,” asserting that the era of shutdowns, street violence and disruption is now “dead past and history.” She said BJP brought tangible development, strengthened grassroots democracy, and restored public confidence, unlike PDP’s previous political tenures that “pushed people’s lives on stake by nurturing instability.” Chandpuri added that tweeting narratives portraying Kashmiris as trapped or directionless is nothing but “instigation and provocation,” aimed at reviving outdated politics. She urged PDP to introspect on its past role instead of misleading youth with divisive commentary.
