Anantnag, Nov 6: The residents of G.B. Khalal village in Sangam Bijbehara staged a protest against the lack of basic amenities in their area, expressing deep resentment over official neglect. The locals said the village has been deprived of essential facilities, including healthcare services, clean drinking water, proper roads, and adequate teaching staff in the local school. They lamented that G.B. Khalal–Naiyna Sangam still seems to be living centuries behind the modern era despite repeated appeals to the authorities. The residents have urged the Lieutenant Governor’s administration and the government to take immediate action to address their issues and ensure that the village receives its fair share of development like other areas of the region.
