Chenab Valley में आतंक विरोधी अभियान जारी, 25-30 आतंकी सक्रिय

Anchors: Security forces continue to tighten their grip in the higher reaches of Bhaderwah, Udhampur and Kishtwar in the Chenab Valley, where massive anti-terror operations are still underway. The joint cordon and search operations are aimed at tracking down hiding terrorists believed to be operating in dense forest belts. VO: Security forces have intensified cordon and search operations in Seoj Dhar forests bordering Bhaderwah and Udhampur districts, as well as in Keshwan and Naidgaam forests of Kishtwar followed by high tech surveillance in other areas of Chenab Valley especially hills and ridges. According to official sources, the operation involves joint teams of the Indian Army, J&K Police, and other security agencies. The move comes after recent intelligence inputs indicated movement of terrorists in the higher reaches of the Chenab Valley and Delhi blast links with Kashmir based doctors. Authorities have urged locals to remain alert and report any suspicious movement in their areas. VO 2: It may be recalled that on September 20, a soldier was killed in an encounter in the Seoj Dhar forest stretch, followed by another gunfight the next day in Keshwan forest of Kishtwar, where terrorists managed to flee into the dense woods. Meanwhile, on October 17, an intensive operation was launched in Latti area of Udhampur, after reports surfaced that a group of terror suspects entered a house in Kirchi village, threatened residents, and fled after snatching cash. VO 3: Sources have revealed that around 25 to 30 terrorists, divided into smaller groups, are active in the forest stretches from Seoj Dhar in Bhaderwah to Keshwan in Kishtwar. Security forces are maintaining strict vigilance and dominance patrols to prevent any further infiltration or regrouping attempts by militants. With the ongoing operations in full swing, the security forces remain determined to eliminate any terror presence from the Chenab Valley. Meanwhile, DIG DKR Range Shridhar Patil, during his visit to Doda and Kishtwar, said that multi-layered security grids have been activated, with intensified day-and-night patrolling and strengthened checkpoints across sensitive locations. He said, “We have strengthened surveillance and preventive measures to counter any possible threat.” He further informed that security has been heightened from the Bhaderwah hills to Kishtwar to ensure a safe and secure atmosphere during the winter season as well.
