Gurez–Bandipora road reopens for One-way traffic after Three-day snowfall closure. After remaining closed for three days due to heavy snowfall on Razdan pass, the 86-kilometre Gurez–Bandipora road will be reopened for one-way vehicular movement for one way traffic from Gurez to Bandipora for Light Motor Vehicles. As per the traffic advisory, vehicles will be allowed to ply only from Gurez towards Bandipora. The movement will commence from TCP Kanzalwan at 11:00 am, with a cut-off time of 2:00 pm. No traffic will be permitted beyond the cut-off time. Authorities have imposed strict safety restrictions, including a ban on Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs). All vehicles must be fitted with anti-skid chains, while traffic from the opposite direction, Bandipora to Gurez, will remain suspended. No vehicle will be allowed to cross Wanpora Bridge until a green signal is received from the BRO. Passengers and drivers have been advised to confirm the road status before starting their journey by contacting the District Control Room Bandipora (7006526985) or PCR Bandipora (9596767430). The administration has urged commuters to cooperate with traffic and security agencies, stating that the restrictions are in place in the interest of public safety amid harsh winter conditions in the region.
