Suspicious object detected, destroyed near Hygam A suspicious object was detected and destroyed in North Kashmir’s Sopore area on Saturday. An official said that the object was found near Hygam along the Srinagar-Baramulla National Highway. A joint team of Army, CRPF, and Police reached the spot and cordoned off the area. A Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was called in to examine the object. Traffic movement and civilian access were restricted as a precautionary measure, the official said, adding that the BDS after examining the object destroyed it.
