Jagmohan Singh Raina has strongly condemned attempts to create an artificial divide between Jammu and Kashmir, calling it dangerous, politically motivated, and against the spirit of unity. He said that Jammu and Kashmir are two regions with shared history, sacrifices, and aspirations, and any effort to pit one against the other only weakens the social fabric of the Union Territory. Raina stated that the “Jammu v/s Kashmir” narrative is being deliberately fuelled for narrow political gains, which harms peace, development, and communal harmony. He emphasized that people of all communities—Sikhs, Muslims, Hindus, and others—have always lived together and struggled together for dignity, rights, and progress. The APSCC chairman urged political parties and leaders to stop divisive rhetoric and instead focus on real issues like employment, development, security, and protection of minority rights. “Unity is our strength. Division will only push Jammu and Kashmir backwards,” he asserted. He also appealed to civil society and youth to reject hate politics and work collectively for a peaceful, inclusive, and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir.
