People’s Conference President and MLA Handwara, Sajad Lone, reacted to the Budget Session, saying that the government should prioritise employment generation and focus on key sectors like horticulture and tourism to address rising unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir. Lone said that while it is understood that the government cannot address all issues overnight, unemployment remains the biggest challenge in Jammu and Kashmir and concrete steps must be taken to tackle it. He also expressed concern over incidents of assaults on Kashmiri people outside the Valley and urged the government to ensure their safety and security.
