Addressing a press briefing, Kullay said the action reflects the government’s fear of democratic voices and the shrinking space for political dissent in Jammu and Kashmir. He termed the targeting of elected representatives through harsh laws as a “direct assault on democracy and the people’s mandate.” Kullay demanded the immediate revocation of PSA against Malik and urged higher authorities to uphold democratic values, warning that silence on such actions would only deepen public resentment.
