Congress leader Udit Raj and his wife Seema Raj’s government residence in C-1/38 Pandara Park, New Delhi, is being vacated. The house is in the name of Seema Raj, a retired IRS officer who retired in November 2024. After a six-month extension, she was living there, but the extension time has ended. The Estate Department team has reached to vacate the house. Notices to vacate were issued earlier, but the occupants did not vacate, so the house is being vacated forcibly. At present, all belongings have been taken out and placed on the street outside the house. Udit Raj said his father-in-law was unwell and has recently passed away, causing the delay in shifting. He is also building a new house which will take some time. He sought one more month of relief and said he has been paying rent continuously, and a court case is ongoing, with a hearing on 28 October. Before that, people arrived to vacate the house suddenly. Udit Raj said his new house is being prepared and he wishes to stay here until it is ready.
