Noida, Uttar Pradesh:Dr Jitendra Singh reviews status of Ujh Multipurpose Project in Jammu & Kashmir Project to be implemented in phases while remaining land acquisition proceeds simultaneously Ujh Multipurpose Project to provide irrigation to nearly 90,000 hectares of land in Kathua and Samba districts of J&K and Pathankot and Gurdaspur districts of Punjab also supply drinking water to Kathua district Under PM Modi’s leadership, long-pending Ujh and Shahpurkandi projects revived to optimise India’s Ravi waters: Dr Jitendra Singh Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology; Earth Sciences and Minister of State for PMO, Department of Atomic Energy, Department of Space, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Dr. Jitendra Singh reviewed the status and phased implementation roadmap of the Ujh Multipurpose Project (MPP) in Kathua district of Jammu & Kashmir. The Minister held a detailed meeting with the officials of WAPCOS Ltd., a Government of India undertaking under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, which has been entrusted with the implementation of the project. Dr Jitendra Singh emphasised the need for expeditious implementation so that the benefits of this strategically important project reach the people at the earliest. He advised WAPCOS to explore innovative solutions and implementation strategies while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency. The Minister was informed that the project is being taken up in a phased manner. Work will commence while acquisition of the remaining land is pursued simultaneously, without waiting for completion of the entire land acquisition process. The implementing agency is also working out the project site and related requirements. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Dr Jitendra Singh said, long-pending national projects are being taken forward with renewed urgency. He noted that the Ujh Multipurpose Project, conceived nearly a century ago, had remained in limbo for decades, while the Shahpurkandi project had remained pending for about four decades. The delay in implementation of these projects, he said, resulted in the waters of the Ravi River and its tributaries continuing to flow into Pakistan. The Minister said that even when the Indus Waters Treaty was in force, Ravi, Satluj and Beas were India’s three rivers under the Treaty, with Ravi being the major river among them. He noted that the Treaty is now in abeyance. Dr Jitendra Singh said that the revival of the Shahpurkandi project in 2019, which is now almost complete, and the revival of the Ujh Multipurpose Project in 2026 reflect the Government’s resolve under Prime Minister Narendra Modi to realise long-delayed projects, optimise the use of India’s water resources and deliver tangible benefits to the people. The Ujh Multipurpose Project, located on the Ujh River, a main tributary of the Ravi River, is designed to generate around 186 MW to 212 MW of electricity. It is expected to provide irrigation to nearly 90,000 hectares of agricultural land in Kathua and Samba districts of Jammu & Kashmir and Pathankot and Gurdaspur districts of Punjab. The project will also supply drinking water to Kathua district and provide industrial water availability. The project is expected to strengthen agricultural productivity, improve water security, create new opportunities for economic development and contribute to the overall socio-economic progress of the union Territory. It also has an important security and border-management dimension and is backed by the Ministry of Home Affairs to restrict unregulated water flows and plug vulnerable cross-border infiltration routes along the riverbed. Dr Jitendra Singh reviewed the implementation milestones in detail and stressed the need for close coordination among all stakeholders and effective monitoring for timely execution. He assured WAPCOS of the Government’s full support and cooperation for the successful implementation and timely completion of the prestigious project.0

Chandigarh, Chandigarh:Press Release Chandigarh Administrator Announces ₹5 Lakh Financial Assistance for Each Bereaved Family of Four Boys died in Haridwar Tragedy Chandigarh, August 2: Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Shri Gulab Chand Kataria on Sunday announced a financial assistance of ₹5 lakh for each of the four bereaved families whose minor sons lost their lives after being swept away by the strong current of the River Ganga during the Kanwar Yatra in Haridwar on July 31. The Administrator visited the bereaved families this evening to express his condolences and offer support in the wake of the tragedy. Interacting with the family members, he conveyed his sympathies and assured them that the Chandigarh Administration stood firmly with them during this difficult time. Describing the incident as deeply distressing, Shri Kataria said the loss of four young lives had caused immense grief not only to their families but to the entire city. He noted that the deceased boys belonged to economically weaker families, with some living in extremely difficult financial circumstances, making the tragedy even more heartbreaking. He prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and wished strength to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss. Announcing the relief from the Governor's Discretionary Fund, the Administrator said that each of the four affected families would receive ₹5 lakh as financial assistance. He observed that while no monetary support could ever compensate for the loss of a child, the assistance was intended to provide immediate relief to the bereaved families during this period of immense hardship. Shri Kataria also directed the concerned officers to extend all possible assistance to the affected families and ensure that they receive every necessary support from the Chandigarh Administration without delay. Reiterating the Administration's commitment to stand by the bereaved families in this hour of grief, the Administrator assured them of every possible help and support.0

Noida, Uttar Pradesh:Modi Government Released Over ₹3,205 Crore for Punjab’s Education; AAP Must Stop Taking Credit for Centrally Supported School Infrastructure: S. Ravneet Singh Bittu “Modi Government Provides the Funds, Mann Government Cuts the Ribbons.” “Delhi Sends the Money, Chandigarh Prints the Posters.” 02.08.2026, Ludhiana Former union Minister S. Ravneet Singh Bittu today said that while the Bhagwant Mann Government is busy inaugurating school buildings and claiming exclusive credit, the people of Punjab deserve to know that the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has released over ₹3,205 crore to Punjab under major education schemes during the last four financial years. S. Bittu said that the Centre has consistently supported Punjab through flagship programmes such as Samagra Shiksha, PM SHRI Schools, PM POSHAN, ULLAS, and PM-USHA (formerly RUSA). These schemes provide financial assistance for school infrastructure, classrooms, laboratories, libraries, digital education, teacher training, nutrition for students, and strengthening the overall education ecosystem. He pointed out that Samagra Shiksha alone has received more than ₹2,200 crore during this period. The union Government has also released funds under PM SHRI Schools, apart from providing assistance through other education schemes aimed at improving educational infrastructure and quality. S. Bittu said that every new school building or educational facility inaugurated by the Punjab Government should not be portrayed as an achievement of the State Government alone when substantial Central assistance has been continuously flowing to Punjab. “The Chief Minister has every right to inaugurate schools, but he has no right to erase the contribution of the taxpayers of India and the Modi Government. The people deserve transparency, not political branding,” he said. S. Bittu said that the Modi Government has never discriminated against Punjab and has continued to release funds based on approved proposals under Centrally Sponsored Schemes despite repeated political attacks by the AAP Government. He asked Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to answer a few simple questions: * Why is the Punjab Government reluctant to acknowledge the Central Government’s financial contribution to education? * How much of the infrastructure being showcased today has benefited from assistance available under Centrally Sponsored Schemes? * Why are Central schemes renamed or presented before the public without giving due credit to the Government of India? * Instead of publicity, why doesn’t the State Government publish a transparent, project-wise funding breakup showing the contribution of both the Centre and the State? S. Bittu said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision under the National Education Policy 2020 is to provide quality education, modern infrastructure, smart classrooms, digital learning, and equal opportunities to every child, and Punjab has been a major beneficiary of these initiatives. He said that the BJP welcomes every new school, every classroom, and every educational investment because it benefits Punjab’s children. However, public money should never become a tool for political propaganda. “The issue is not who cuts the ribbon. The issue is who provided the resources. The Modi Government has invested thousands of crores in Punjab’s education, while the AAP Government is trying to convert every inauguration into a political advertisement.” S. Bittu concluded by saying that the people of Punjab are intelligent enough to distinguish between those who provide resources and those who merely claim the credit. “The BJP believes in development through delivery, not development through publicity. Punjab’s children deserve honesty, accountability, and quality education—not political marketing.”0

गिरिपार के हाटी समुदाय के ST दर्जे पर संघर्ष समिति तेज वार्ता आगे की रणनीति
Shimla, Himachal Pradesh:सिरमौर के गिरिपार में हाटी समुदाय के हितों की पैरवी करने वाले सभी संगठनों ने साझा मंच तैयार किया है। सभी पक्षों की सहमति से संयुक्त हाटी संघर्ष समिति का गठन किया गया है। समिति की कार्यकारिणी की घोषणा जल्द की जाएगी। समिति ने तय किया है कि हाटी समुदाय को मिले अनुसूचित जनजाति (ST) के कानूनी दर्जे से जुड़े मुद्दे को तार्किक अंत तक पहुंचाने के लिए सभी पक्षों की साझा खुमली आयोजित की जाएगी। यह खुमली कहां और कब होगी, इसका ऐलान जल्द किया जाएगा। इसी बैठक में आगे की साझा रणनीति पर फैसला होगा। समिति को गैर-राजनीतिक रखा गया है और इसका मुख्य लक्ष्य किसी भी तरीके से ST के मुद्दे को सुलझाना है। इसके लिए अलग-अलग पक्षों के साथ संवाद और समन्वय स्थापित किया जाएगा। समिति इस मामले में राज्य सरकार से भी वार्ता कर सकती है। इस संबंध में शिमला में पत्रकार वार्ता आयोजित की गई, जिसमें कई वक्ताओं ने अपनी बात रखी। संयुक्त हाटी संघर्ष समिति की मांग है कि संसद से पारित अनुसूचित जनजाति संशोधन कानून को लागू किया जाए। साथ ही, कोर्ट में लंबित मामले के निपटारे के लिए केंद्र और राज्य सरकार से प्रमुखता से पैरवी करने की मांग की गई है। समिति सरकार को सहयोग देने पर भी सहमत है, लेकिन इसके लिए समयबद्ध तरीके से मामले को सुलझाने की दिशा में गंभीर प्रयास नजर आने चाहिए। इस पर अंतिम फैसला आगामी खुमली में लिया जाएगा। समिति का कहना है कि यदि मामला सुलझ जाता है तो सभी का आभार जताया जाएगा। वहीं, समाधान नहीं निकलने की स्थिति में बड़े आंदोलन का विकल्प भी खुला रहेगा। वार्ता पहले होगी या बाद में, अथवा वार्ता और आंदोलन दोनों साथ-साथ चलेंगे या नहीं—इस पर भी अंतिम फैसला खुमली में ही लिया जाएगा। संयुक्त हाटी संघर्ष समिति गिरिपार के करीब 400 गांवों और 160 से अधिक पंचायतों में अपनी इकाइयां गठित करेगी। इन इकाइयों के माध्यम से हाटी समुदाय के बीच दोबारा जागरूकता अभियान चलाया जाएगा।0

Chandigarh, Chandigarh:ਭਾਜਪਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਛੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ, 2 ਅਗਸਤ。 ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਨਿਤਿਨ ਨਬੀਨ ਦੀ ਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਕੇਵਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਨੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਸੰਗਠਨ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਛੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਿਯੁਕਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਿਯੁਕਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸੂਬਾ ਮਹਾਂ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨਿਲ ਸਰੀਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ。 ਨਵੇਂ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਹੇਠ ਲਿਖੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੈ— ਫਰੀਦਕੋਟ – ਸਰਦਾਰ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਰਾੜ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ (ਦਿਹਾਤੀ) – ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੰਜੀਵ ਮਨਹਾਸ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ (ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀ) – ਸ੍ਰੀ ਨੇਤਨ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਨੰਨੂ ਖੰਨਾ – ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨੂਪ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮੁਕਤਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ – ਸਰਦਾਰ ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਭੰਗੇਵਾਲਾ ਸੰਗਰੂਰ-1 – ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸਰਜੀਵਨ ਜਿੰਦਲ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਕੇਵਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਨੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪੂਰੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਠਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪਣੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਬੂਥ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੋਕ-ਭਲਾਈ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਸਮੁਖੀ ਯੋਜਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਘਰ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਥਮਿਕਤਾ ਹੈ。 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਨਿਯੁਕਤੀਆਂ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸੰਗਠਨਾਤਮਕ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤੀ ਵੱਲ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਕਦਮ ਹਨ। ਨਵੇਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਪੱਧਰ 'ਤੇ ਸੰਗਠਨ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਬਣਾਉਣ, ਕਾਰਕੁਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋੜਨ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਸੌਂਪੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ。 ਭਾਜਪਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਨਵੇਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਜਰਬੇ, ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਗਠਨਾਤਮਕ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੀਂ ਊਰਜਾ ਦੇਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਸੰਗਠਨਾਤਮਕ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਹਿਮ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਣਗੇ。0

Chandigarh, Chandigarh:प्रैस वार्ता मोहाली में Mohali International Maharaja Yadavind Cricket Stadium में शेर ए पंजाब टी लिग 20 का उद्घाटन हुआ। इस प्रेस वार्ता में भारतीय टीम के कप्तान शु्भमन गि ll और पंजाब क्रिक्रेट एसोसिएशन के सभी नुमाइंदे उपस्थित होंगे। Gaurav Grover Bathinda Team Owner, Manpreet Samna Mohali Team Owner, Rajesh Chopra Jalandhar Team Owner, Dr Shebaz Singh Amritsar Team Owner, Manoj Bansal Team Ludhiana। अर्शनदीप सिंह के साथ-साथ प्रभसिमरन सिंह और रमणदीप सिंह भी हुए शामिल। शेर ए पंजाब T20 लीग का उद्घघाटन हुआ। इसमें छह टीमों भाग ले रही हैं: फाजिलका टीम, अमृतसर टीम, मोहाली टीम, जालंधर टीम, बठिंडा टीम और Ludhiana टीम। खिलाड़ी सूची: शुबमन गिल। यह एक अच्छा प्लेटफॉर्म है उनके लिए जिन्होंने आगे जाकर अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर मैच खेलना है। मीਤ हार Punjab का इतिहास हर field में आगे रहा पर क्रिकेट में भी पंजाबी आगे रहे हैं। पंजाब से टैलेंट है; भारतीय टीम से लेकर IPL की हर टीम में पंजाबी खिलाड़ी हैं। 30 अगस्त से 13 सितंबर तक लीग होगी। ऊपर की चार टीमों का सेमीफाइनल और आख़िर में फाइनल होगा। 12-14 साल में भारत ने क्रिकेट में बहुत तरक्की की है। जो भी खिलाड़ी इस लीग में खेड़ेंगे उन्हें शुभमन गिल के साथ खेलने का मौका मिलेगा। अमित महित ... इस लीग में जितने भी बच्चे खेड़ने जाएंगे, उनके बच्चे भी IPL में खेलने का मौका पाएंगे। 9 अगस्त को Chandigarh में प्लेरेा की ओक्शन रखी गई है। मीत हार ... अगले साल पंजाब के विभिन जिलों में भी मैच करवाए जाएंगे। गिल ... पिता का सपना था मुझे खेलना है और उनके मेहनत करके मैं यहाँ आया हूँ। केवल P.C.E. के साथ रजिस्टर्ड प्लेयर ही खेल सकते हैं।0
