In compliance with the Delhi High Court’s order, I have written to the Delhi CM Rekha Gupta seeking fresh consideration of the case of Davinder Pal Singh Bhullar before the Sentence Review Board. He has been undergoing intensive psychiatric treatment for over 14 years, and his sentence was earlier commuted on humanitarian grounds. At this stage, continued incarceration serves no purpose beyond suffering. His case merits compassion, dignity and humane reconsideration in accordance with law.
