आंध्र विश्वविद्यालय Vizag में SFI-AISF बनाम ABVP-RSS के समर्थकों के बीच भिड़ंत

VISAKHAPATNAM Students' Federation of India (SFI) and All India Students' Federation (AISF) alleged that RSS activists, acting under the guise of the ABVP, attacked student leaders at Andhra University in Vizag. The incident involved outsiders entering the campus, prompting SFI to demand a ban on RSS activities in educational institutions. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) strongly condemns the incident where some SFI goons, along with a few professors holding foreign ideologies, collectively attacked ABVP and RSS workers yesterday at Andhra University. ABVP state secretary Venkata Gopi demanded that those involved in this incident be immediately arrested and severely punished. In this context, speaking on February 17, 2026 (Tuesday), he stated that ABVP and RSS workers who had come to the Andhra University campus for a daily program to practice the full "Vande Mataram" song in commemoration of its 150th anniversary were attacked with sticks and stones by some SFI goons as per a premeditated plan, resulting in injuries. ABVP strongly protests this attack. ABVP objects that chanting "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" is not religious, and launching a silent attack to prevent the chanting of "Vande Mataram" is anti-democratic. Noting that anti-national forces have increased their activities in the university over the past few months out of jealousy toward their existence, posting anti-national content on social media platforms and various WhatsApp groups to incite hatred among students, he demanded the immediate arrest of these SFI goons. He remarked that this appears like an international conspiracy at a time when Honorable President Droupadi Murmu is attending the International Fleet Review. He condemned such violent actions by individuals, including some praying for religious reasons, for their selfish interests as despicable. He angrily stated that ABVP has been conducting several programs at Andhra University for many years, and attempts are being made to create divisions among students and unrest in the university for political gains.
