Anchor: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan chaired the District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and District Level RSETI Advisory Committee (DLRAC) meetings to review the performance of banks and assess the implementation of various financial and social security schemes in Ramban, with special emphasis on the Priority Sector.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sheraz Ahmed, Lead District Officer Reserve Bank of India Anil Kumar, Lead District Manager Davinder Singh, Director RSETI S. Harvinder Singh, District Development Manager NABARD, along with senior officers of the District Administration and bankers.
During the meeting, it was informed that the district’s Credit-Deposit (CD) ratio has increased by 1.98 percent, reaching 72.78 percent as on December 31, 2025, compared to the previous quarter ending September 30, 2025.
An amount of ₹385.79 crore has been disbursed under the Priority Sector, achieving 65.51 percent of the ₹588.91 crore Annual Credit Plan (ACP) target for 2025-26, while the Non-Priority Sector recorded a credit outlay of ₹384.13 crore.
The Deputy Commissioner directed bankers to focus on achieving targets under the Priority Sector, particularly in Education, Housing and Social Infrastructure. He stressed close coordination between banks and line departments for effective implementation of schemes and improved service delivery. The DC also instructed banks to organize more awareness camps in uncovered areas to educate the public about social security, financial inclusion, and youth- and employment-oriented schemes.
Calling for swift processing of loan cases under PM Vishwakarma and Kisan Credit Card (KCC), the DC emphasized timely benefits for local youth. He further directed departments and banks to intensify efforts to achieve targets under PMEGP and other loan-linked schemes being implemented under Mission YUVA. Officers were also asked to take the lead in ensuring wider coverage under PMMY, PMSBY, PMJJBY and Atal Pension Yojana.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed all stakeholders to adopt a structured and result-oriented approach to achieve 100 percent performance under all government-sponsored schemes, with special focus on Mission YUVA and other job-oriented initiatives.
Chairing the District Level RSETI Advisory Committee meeting, the DC reviewed the performance of the RSETI and emphasized enhancing market-relevant training, increasing eligible cases, and ensuring strong financial and marketing linkages to empower unemployed youth.
Meanwhile, the Director RSETI presented an overview of achievements, ongoing initiatives, and training programmes being conducted in the district.
