PM Awas Mela-Sehri under ANGIKAAR held at Kulgam Mission Directorate PMAY-U, Housing & Urban Development Department, J&K today conducted a District Anchor Level Programme "PM Awas Mela-Sehri" under ANGIKAAR at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kulgam. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Amir Khan graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion, DC Kulgam said that the Seva Parv programme has been launched across every nook and corner of the district. Since its commencement on September 17, activities have been held continuously with the active involvement of all departments, schools, and colleges. “We have 178 Gram Panchayats and four Municipal Committees in the district, and the programme is taking place everywhere with encouraging participation from local citizens, especially youth,” he said. The DC further informed that around 200 hotspots identified as most affected by dirt and waste were cleaned in collaboration with volunteers and municipal bodies. Similarly, plantation drives were also carried out extensively in schools, wastelands, and hilly areas to promote greenery and environmental protection. On this occasion, students, teachers, and employees of the Municipal Committee Kulgam actively participated in the programme. The DC was accompanied by ADC Kulgam, ADDC, ACR, DySP Headquarters, Executive Officer Municipal Council Kulgam and other officers.
