Kulgam Police Observes Seva Parv with Swachhta Pledge and District-wide Cleanliness Drive Kulgam, September 17: As part of the ongoing Seva Parv celebrations, Kulgam Police today organized a series of programmes aimed at promoting cleanliness and public awareness across the district. The initiatives were carried out in line with the vision of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and the nationwide call to encourage citizen participation in building a cleaner, greener, and healthier society. The programme commenced with the administration of the Swachhta Pledge at all police establishments, including police stations, police posts, District Police Lines, and other units. Officers, officials, and staff members participated with great enthusiasm, collectively reaffirming their commitment towards maintaining hygiene, sanitation, and environmental responsibility in both personal and professional spaces. Following the pledge, a comprehensive Safayi Abhiyan (cleanliness drive) was launched simultaneously across the district. Police personnel, led by their respective supervisory officers, actively participated in cleaning office complexes, barracks, public interaction areas, and adjoining localities. Special focus was given to areas frequently visited by citizens, ensuring that police establishments remain welcoming, clean, and community-friendly. The drive also extended to surrounding community zones, with police personnel engaging local residents, shopkeepers, and youth in spreading awareness about the importance of maintaining hygiene and adopting sustainable practices in daily life. Speaking on the occasion, SSP Kulgam Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS said, “Cleanliness is not just a duty but a shared responsibility.
