Former Vice President of Municipal Council Ganderbal, Ab Majeed Mir, on Saturday addressed a press conference, strongly reacting to the remarks of MP Sanjay Singh Rana, who allegedly referred to him as a “Pakistan-trained terrorist” and a “surrendered militant.” Mir said that such statements were unacceptable and an insult to common Kashmiris. “Sanjay Singh has no right to brand me or any Kashmiri as a terrorist,” he said. He further added that the BJP gave him space in the party because of his loyalty and commitment. “BJP runs in my blood and Prime Minister Narendra Modi lives in my heart,” Mir stated. Appealing to the union Home Minister to take strict action against the MP, Mir announced that he would also pursue legal action against Sanjay Singh Rana over the allegations.
