Officials stated, “For the past few days, a large number of crows have been dying in the park.” The number of crows dying has been increasing day by day. “These crows remain standing in one place throughout the day and then suddenly collapse and die,” officials said. In this situation, the test results have now been released, which indicate that the crows died due to infection caused by the H5N1 virus. As a result, the public has been advised not to touch dead crows under any circumstances. If crows or birds are found dead under suspicious circumstances, they should be buried at a depth of 8 to 10 feet or incinerated. Alternatively, the nearest Animal Husbandry Department should be informed. The Public Health Department has emphasized that the public should remain alert and aware regarding bird flu and reiterated that, so far, no humans have been affected. Although bird flu caused by the H5N1 virus does not easily spread to humans, if infection is confirmed, it can progress to a severe condition. Common symptoms include high fever, cough, sore throat, body fatigue, and headache. In some cases, redness of the eyes, breathing difficulty, and chest pain may occur.
