Hyderabad: A controversy has erupted at Niloufer Hospital in Nampally after a Muslim youth allegedly distributed biryani to patient attendants, claiming it was chicken biryani. According to the attendants, the food was served free of cost to relatives of patients at the hospital. However, upon checking later, it was allegedly found to be beef biryani. By then, several people had already consumed the food. In video: A person identified as Vishnu alleged in Telugu said “dear friends see free food packets distributed here in Nelofar Hospital my mom was not aware she took it.. in one packet its BEEF BIRYANI and one is Chicken Biryani,” This incident hurt Hindu religious sentiments and approached the Nampally police to lodge a complaint. The complainant claimed that the police were reluctant to accept the complaint and were delaying action. Further investigation into the matter is awaited.
