Out of the entire MB Road, only 6.58 km ( Saket- G block to Batra Hospital Sangam Vihar and Maa Anandmayee marg T-point to Pul Prahladpur) falls within the jurisdiction of DMRC for the construction works pertaining to the Aerocity–Tughlakabad Corridor (Line-10) under Delhi MRTS Project Phase-IV. This stretch of MB road does not have any footpath and outside the paced road is kutcha ground. DMRC work is going on in the median of the road within barricades. At few locations, barricades are opened to facilitate vehicles and pedestrians cross the road. The violations mentioned in the MCD communication—namely inadequate dust suppression, uncovered construction material, improper barricading, and lack of housekeeping have been reviewed at site. In this regard it is to submit that DMRC work is mostly in the barricaded median portion. On this stretch, hardly any dust bins have been provided by the civic agencies. Local residents and passerby are dumping their debris on the road sides regularly, which is not being removed by civic agencies on time. Though not a contributor of this road side debris, being a responsible organization, DMRC removes these road side debris also periodically. Regarding the challans issued by MCD, photographs attached with the challans also show that most of this debris is road side debris which does not belong to DMRC. DMRC is consistent and remain committed to ensure all mandatory measures with regard to pollution-mitigation and dust-control as per GRAP guidelines, NGT directions and prevailing environmental norms. Photographs demonstrating the measures in place and are exercised on daily basis, are attached herewith for ready reference. The observations have been noted for further improvement. However preventive controller measures are being taken in GRAP period like 1. Regular water sprinkling on construction site and roads under ROW through portable water tankers and Portable mist gun. 2. ⁠Anti smog gun is installed at station and is working on regular basis. 3. ⁠Regular toe dust cleaning is being done at barricade boards . 4. ⁠Construction materials are kept covered with Tarpolin 5. ⁠C&D waste are disposed off to C&D plants regularly.
