TRAFFIC ADVISORY
Traffic Diversion in view of New Year celebration on 31.12.2025 & 01.01.2026 from 12:00 Noon onwards in Saket Traffic Circle, South Delhi
In order to avoid inconvenience to general public on the occasion of New Year celebration on 31.12.2025 & 01.01.2026 at Select City Mall, DLF Avenue Mall, MGF Metropolitan Mall, traffic is diverted from certain points in the adjoining vicinity of Saket. Commuters are advised to avoid these road stretches and plan their journey accordingly:
1. Date and Time of Diversion: On 31.12.2025 & 01.01.2026 from 02:00PM
2. Name of affected Road: Press Enclave Road and internal roads of Saket and Pushp Vihar
3. Diversion points:
• Sheikh Sarai Red Light (Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg),
• Asian Market Light (MB Road)
• PTS Malviya Nagar Light (Sri Aurobindo Marg)
4. Advisory for General Public:
• All median cut from Sheikh Sarai to Hauz Rani will remain closed.
• Heavy vehicles and DTC/Cluster will not be allowed to ply on both carriageway of Press Enclave Road.
• DTC/Cluster buses will not be allowed to ply towards Pushp Vihar from MB Road/Asian Market Red Light.
• General public and motorists are advised to keep patience, observe traffic rules, road discipline and follow directions of traffic personnel deployed at all intersections and remain updated through Delhi Traffic Police Website https://traffic.delhipolice.gov.in, Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/dtptraffic, Twitter handle https://twitter.com/dtptraffic, Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/dtptraffic, WhatsApp Number 8750871493 and Helpline Numbers 1095/011-25844444.
5. Alternate routes:
• Traffic coming from Chirag Delhi, intending to go to Qutub Minar are advised to take route via Khanpur T-Point, MB Road & Lado Sarai T-Point.
• Traffic coming from IIT Flyover, intending to go to Sangam Vihar & Sainik Farm are advised to take route via TB Hospital Light, Lado Sarai Light, MB Road, Chirag Delhi & Khanpur Light.

PAHARGANJ TRAFFIC CIRCLE – DELHI TRAFFIC POLICE
On the occasion of New Year celebrations on 31st December 2025 and 1st January 2026, a large number of devotees are expected to visit Shri Mata Jhandewalan Mandir to seek blessings. Due to the heavy influx of devotees, traffic movement on Rani Jhansi Road and adjoining areas is likely to be affected, leading to congestion and slow vehicular movement.
Advisory for Commuters:
Road users are advised to plan their journey well in advance to avoid inconvenience.
Commuters are advised to avoid Rani Jhansi Road during peak hours on the above-mentioned dates.
Motorists are requested to use alternate routes such as:
DBG Road
New Rohtak Road
Other adjoining roads as per convenience.
Follow the instructions of traffic police personnel deployed on duty and adhere to traffic signage.
Public Appeal:
The cooperation of the general public is solicited to ensure smooth traffic management and the safety of devotees and road users during the New Year period.

*DELHI POLICE TRAFFIC ADVISORY FOR NEW YEAR EVE*
Delhi Traffic Police has made special traffic arrangements for the areas in the vicinity of Connaught Place
Following restrictions shall be imposed from 07.00 PM onwards on 31.12.2025 in the vicinity of Connaught Place till the conclusion of New Year Celebrations.
It will be applicable to all private and public transport vehicles.
➢ No vehicle shall be allowed to proceed towards Connaught Place beyond (i) R/A Mandi House (ii) R/A Bengali Market (iii) North foot of Ranjit Singh Flyover (iv) Minto Road – Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg crossing (v) Chelmsford Road near Munje Chowk (New Delhi Rly. Station) (vi) R.K. Ashram Marg-Chitragupta Marg Crossing (vii) R/A Gole Market (viii) R/A G.P.O., New Delhi (viii) Patel Chowk (ix) Kasturba Gandhi Road - Ferozeshah Road Crossing (x) Jai Singh Road-Bangla Sahib Lane (xi) R/A Windsor place.
➢ No vehicular traffic shall be allowed in inner, middle or outer circle of Connaught Place except for those that are carrying valid Passes.
Parking Arrangements (For Connaught Place)
Motorists can park their vehicles at the following places in the vicinity of Connaught Place: -
(i) Near Gole Dak Khana on:-
(a) Kali Bari Marg
(b) Pt. Pant Marg
(c) Bhai Veer Singh Marg
(ii) Near Patel Chowk on Rakab Ganj Road behind AIR.
(iii) Near Mandi House on Copernicus Marg upto Baroda House.
(iv) Near Minto Road on D.D. Upadhaya Marg and Press Road area.
(v) Near Panchkuian Road on R.K. Ashram Marg, Chitragupta Road &Basant Road towards Pahar Ganj.
(vi) Near K.G. Marg-Ferozshah Road Crossing on Copernicus Lane as well as K.G. Marg towards C-Hexagon.
(vii) Near R/A Bengali market – on Babar Road and Tansen Marg
(viii) Near Windsor Place
(a) Rajender Prasad Road
(b) Raisina Road
(ix) Near Gole Market at Peshwa Road, Service Road along Bhai Veer Singh Marg and R K Ashram Road.
(x) Near R/A Buta Singh on Jantar Mantar Road, Raisina Road.
Limited parking space will be available near Connaught Place on first come first serve basis. Unauthorized parked vehicles shall be towed away and prosecuted.
• Access to New Delhi Railway Station (From South)
i) Ram Manohar Lohiya Park Street- Mandir Marg- Rani Jhansi Road- R/A Jhande Walan- Desh Bandhu Gupta Road.
ii) R/A GPO- Kali Bari Marg- Mandir Marg- Rani Jhansi Road- R/A Jhande Walan- Desh Bandhu Gupta Road.
ii i) R/A Windsor Place- Ferozeshah Road- Mandi House- ‘W’ Point- ‘A’ Point- DDU Marg- Bhav Bhuti Marg.
iv) Entry from Connaught Place – Chelmsford Road shall be prohibited.
v) Motorists can take Second Entry Gate of Ajmeri Gate side. They can reach the station via Pahar Ganj – Shiela Cinema or through Ajmeri Gate – J.L.N. Marg side via B.S.Z. Marg – Delhi Gate – J.L.N. Marg.
Old Delhi Railway Station is not affected.
Suggested routes for North-South movement-
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes available for North – South directions.
➢ Ring Road from ISBT to Ashram or
➢ via Delhi Gate, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Mathura Road to reach Ashram and via vice-versa or
➢ via ISBT, Rani Jhansi Marg, Panchkuiyan Road, Mandir Marg, Park Street, Mother Teresa Crescent Road & beyond or
➢ via Rani Jhansi Marg, Panchkuiyan Road, Hanuman Murti, Ring Road.
Suggested route for East- West movement-
Ring Road, Bhairon Road, Mathura Road, Subramaniam Bharti Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, R/A R.M.L, Park Street, Shankar Road.
Restrictions on vehicles on New Year Eve at India Gate
Delhi Traffic Police has made elaborate traffic arrangements, at and around India Gate for regulation of traffic both pedestrian and vehicular. In case of heavy pedestrian movement, vehicles may not be allowed to go through C-Hexagon, India Gate area and diverted from the following place:
1. Q-POINT
2. R/A MLNP
3. R/A SUNHERI MASJID
4. R/A MAR-JANPATH
5. RAJPATH RAFI MARG
6. R/A WINDSOR PLACE
7. R/A RAJINDRA PRASAD ROAD-JANPATH
8. KG MARG-FEROZESHAH ROAD
9. R/A MANDI HOUSE
10. W-POINT
11. MATHURA ROAD-PURANA QILA ROAD
12. MATHURA ROAD-SHER SHAH ROAD
13. SBM-ZAKIR HUSSAIN MARG
14. SBM-PANDARA ROAD
Visitors are advised to use public transport as there is shortage of parking space at India Gate.
In view of large gathering expected at Delhi Zoo resulting in congestion on Mathura Road, the General Public/Motorists are advised to avoid Bhairon Road/Mathura Road between Hazrat Nizamuddin and Pragati Maidan.
