Three-Tier Security in Place at Baltal Base Camp for Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025 Baltal, Jammu & Kashmir To ensure the safety and smooth conduct of the Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025, authorities have implemented a robust three-tier security arrangement at the Baltal base camp in Ganderbal district of central Kashmir. Security forces, including the Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF, ITBP, and Army units, have been strategically deployed across sensitive points along the yatra route. The multi-layered security grid comprises checkpoints, mobile patrolling units, drone surveillance, and quick response teams to monitor any suspicious activity. The first layer of security begins at entry checkpoints, where thorough frisking, luggage checks, and identity verification are conducted. The second tier focuses on route monitoring, with security personnel posted at key locations along the mountainous trek. The third tier involves inner perimeter security at the holy cave shrine and Baltal base camp, including CCTV surveillance, sniffer dogs, and anti-sabotage teams. high-tech equipment and night vision devices have also been deployed to enhance vigilance during night hours. The arrangements aim to prevent any untoward incident while facilitating a peaceful and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage for devotees. The Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB), in coordination with civil and police administration, has also ensured provisions for medical aid, emergency evacuation, food supplies, and shelter for yatris at multiple points. The yatra, which commenced on June 29, 2025, will continue until August 19, 2025. So far, thousands of pilgrims have embarked on the sacred journey amid tight security and favorable weather conditions. Authorities have appealed to the pilgrims to cooperate with security checks, follow the guidelines issued, and report any suspicious activity immediately.
