मिर्जापुर के विंध्याचल थाना क्षेत्र में रहने वाले अपना दल एस के कार्यकर्ता के परिवार के साथ छेड़खानी का विरोध करने पर दबंगों ने मारपीट की। मामले में 24 घंटे बीत जाने के बाद भी पुलिस ने एफ आई आर नहीं दर्ज की है। जिला अस्पताल पहुंची केंद्रीय मंत्री ने पीड़ित परिवार से मामले की जानकारी लेने के बाद एसपी सिटी से कहा कि अभी तक कहां थी पुलिस। उन्होंने पुलिस प्रशासन को 2 घंटे में रिपोर्ट सौंपने को कहा है। साथ ही चेतावनी दी की रिपोर्ट नहीं मिली तो बात CM तक जाएगी।

Belach, Uttar Pradesh:सोनभद्र. जनपद में एक हाई वोल्टेज ड्रामा देखने को मिला जब एक युवक हाई टेंशन टावर के टॉप पर जा बैठा, पुलिस की सूझबूझ से युवक शाम को सही सलामत नीचे उतरा, तब जाकर प्रशासन ने चैन की सांस ली। पुलिस ने युवक से लगाकार संवाद बनाए रखा। प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार, विश्राम कुमार (23) पुत्र जंगी प्रधान निवासी ग्राम मगरदहा थाना करमा, अपने ससुराल ग्राम छपका थाना रॉबर्ट्सगंज में पत्नी की विदाई हेतु आया था। पारिवारिक कारणों से विदाई न होने पर आहत होकर युवक पास स्थित 33 हजार के विद्युत टावर पर चढ़ गया। घटना की सूचना मिलते ही क्षेत्राधिकारी नगर रणधीर मिश्रा पुलिस बल के साथ मौके पर पहुंचे। पुलिस टीम ने भीड़ को नियंत्रित करते हुए धैर्य और संवेदनशीलता के साथ युवक से संवाद स्थापित किया। काफी समझाइश और भरोसा दिलाने के बाद युवक को सकुशल नीचे उतार लिया गया। परिजनों को सूचित कर दिया गया है तथा आवश्यक विधिक एवं शांति व्यवस्था संबंधी कार्रवाई की जा रही है। मौके पर स्थिति पूर्णतः सामान्य बताई जा रही है।

गोरखपुर में पुरानी रंजिश से युवक की गोली मारकर हत्या, प्रदर्शन

Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh:गोरखपुर में रविवार शाम उस वक्त सनसनी फैल गई जब पुरानी रंजिश को लेकर एक युवक को घर से बुलाकर ताबड़तोड़ गोली मारकर उसकी हत्या कर दी गई। वारदात में युवक की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। घटना से आक्रोशित परिजन और स्थानीय लोगों ने मेडिकल कॉलेज गेट के सामने सड़क जाम कर प्रदर्शन किया। पुलिस ने मौके पर पहुंचकर लोगों को समझाने का प्रयास किया और आरोपियों की तलाश शुरू कर दी है। चिलुआताल थाना क्षेत्र के तेनहुआ गांव में रविवार शाम 18 वर्षीय अरुण निषाद नामक युवक की गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी गई। घटना को लेकर थाने पर दी गई तहरीर के मुताबिक युवक विशाल, अरुण को उसके घर से बाहर बुलाकर ले गया था। जहां गांव में पुरानी रंजिश को लेकर विवाद होने के बाद एक युवक ने उस पर ताबड़तोड़ फायरिंग कर दी। गोली लगने से अरुण गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गया। परिजन और स्थानीय लोग उसे तत्काल अस्पताल लेकर पहुंचे, जहां चिकित्सकों ने उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया। घटना की जानकारी मिलते ही इलाके में दहशत और आक्रोश फैल गया। घटना से नाराज परिजन और स्थानीय लोगों ने मेडिकल कॉलेज गेट के सामने सड़क पर विरोध प्रदर्शन शुरू कर दिया। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने आरोपितों की जल्द गिरफ्तारी और कड़ी कार्रवाई की मांग की। सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस और प्रशासन के अधिकारी मौके पर पहुंचे और लोगों को समझाकर वहां से हटाने का प्रयास किया। पुलिस का कहना है कि हमलावरों की पहचान की जा रही है और आसपास लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरों की फुटेज खंगाली जा रही है। अधिकारियों ने भरोसा दिलाया है कि आरोपितों को जल्द गिरफ्तार कर सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

Noida, Uttar Pradesh:Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has called out the Indian cricket team for not shaking hands with Pakistani players in the past six months whenever these two teams played against each other at India big stage, terming this as 'silly thing' as India are set to clash with Pakistan in their next group-stage clash of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 in Colombo on Sunday. The 60-year-old Indian commentator on Sunday tweeted on X, "This 'no shaking hands' is such a silly thing that India has started. It's unbecoming of a nation like ours. Either play properly within the spirit of the game or don't play at all." Following the attack in Pahalgam in April last year and rising tensions between the two nations, the senior Indian men's cricket team had refrained from shaking hands with Pakistan players before or after matches throughout the Asia Cup 2025 trilogy. This 'no handshake' trend continued in subsequent encounters between India and Pakistan in various ICC and Asian Cricket Council (ACC) tournaments, including the Asia Cup Rising Stars and the Under-19 Cricket World Cup matches. However, ahead of the clash, Pakistan skipper Salman Agha expressed hope that things would return to normal and the players would shake hands for the sake of the "spirit of cricket". During the pre-match presser, Agha said, "The game should be played in the same spirit. And what I expect, obviously, does not matter. Jaipur, Rajasthan:चौमूं जयपुर नींदड़ बचाओ किसान संघर्ष समिति की आमसभा विश्व भारती स्कूल ( साधु बाबा की ढाणी) में हुआ आयोजन नींदड़ के किसानों और कॉलोनीवासी रहे मौजूद निंदड़ आवासीय योजना पर समाधान की ओर बढ़े कदम आमसभा में किसानों-निवासियों ने दिखाई एकजुटता समिति ने 16 सूत्रीय मांगे रखी सरकार औऱ JDA के समक्ष 16 सूत्री मांगों में से कुछ मांगे पर JDA सहमति देने को तैयार लेकिन कुछ मांगो पर केबिनेट स्तर होगा मंथन किसानों में कहा- JDA लिखित में समझौता करें तो किसान जमीन देने को तयारी एंकर-जयपुर के हरमाड़ा निंदड़ क्षेत्र की आवासीय योजना को लेकर नींदड़ बचाओ किसान संघर्ष समिति के तत्वावधान में विशाल आमसभा का आयोजन किया गया। सभा में बड़ी संख्या में किसान और कॉलोनी निवासी शामिल हुए तथा चल रही वार्ताओं और विकास कार्यों की प्रगति पर विस्तृत जानकारी साझा की गई। कार्यक्रम में क्षेत्रवासियों ने शांतिपूर्ण संवाद के माध्यम से समाधान निकालने का संकल्प दोहराया। समूह समिति के अध्यक्ष एडवोकेट प्रभाती शर्मा,उपाध्यक्ष कैलाश बोहरा और बलराम मीणा ने बताया कि जून 2025 में जेडीसी के साथ हुई पहली बैठक से ही सकारात्मक माहौल बना और उसके बाद समिति ने जयपुर विकास प्राधिकरण (जेडीए) को 16 सूत्रीय मांगें लिखित रूप में सौंपीं, जिन पर विभाग ने सहमति जताई है। कई मांगों को आगे कैबिनेट स्तर पर भेजने की प्रक्रिया भी जारी है।किसानों ने कहा कि उन्हें अब समाधान की उम्मीद है, हालांकि वे लिखित आश्वासन मिलने और मौके पर कार्य प्रारंभ होने का इंतजार कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि उपमुख्यमंत्री दिया कुमारी ने मामले को सकारात्मक रूप से लेते हुये अधिकारियों को किसानों के हित में कार्रवाई करने के निर्देश दिए हैं, जिससे क्षेत्रवासियों में भरोसा बढ़ा है।सभा में जेडीए की प्रोग्रेस रिपोर्ट भी प्रस्तुत की गई और बताया गया कि योजना से जुड़े काम चरणबद्ध तरीके से आगे बढ़ रहे हैं। उपस्थित लोगों ने आंदोलन को विकास और अधिकारों की दिशा में उठाया गया सकारात्मक कदम बताते हुए एकजुट रहने का संदेश दिया।

Obama made the remarks during an appearance on Brian Tyler Cohen's "No Lie" podcast published Saturday, where he addressed a controversial video posted earlier this month on President Trump's Truth Social account. The clip briefly showed Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama depicted as apes. Trump declined to apologise for the post despite widespread criticism from both parties. The White House attributed the content to a staffer's "erroneous" action and removed it shortly after. "I think it's important to recognise that the majority of the American people find this behaviour deeply troubling," Obama told the host, The Hill reported. Cohen raised concerns about the "de-evolution of discourse," citing the video and the administration's description of two US citizens killed during an immigration enforcement operation in Minneapolis as "domestic terrorists." Obama suggested that such language serves mainly as "distraction," while insisting that most citizens "still believe in decency, courtesy, [and] kindness." "There's this sort of clown show that's happening on social media and on television," he said. "And what is true is that there doesn't seem to be any shame about this among people who used to feel like you had to have some sort of decorum and a sense of propriety and respect for the office, right? So that's been lost," he continued. The former president rejected the idea that Republicans simply pursue what they desire, noting that the GOP has not "actually codified or institutionalised anything" beyond the so-called One Big, Beautiful Bill since taking control of Congress. "They have poured a huge amount of money into ICE and their immigration agenda, and they've cut taxes for really wealthy people, and now they're trying to unravel a bunch of rules and norms and laws that are already in place— that's an easier job," he said. "I say that because we should accept the responsibility and the challenge that our job is going to be a little bit harder," The Hill reported. Obama admitted past Democratic reluctance to dismantle certain institutional obstacles but warned against mirroring Republican tactics. "I don't want us to simply duplicate the behaviour on the other side. I don't want us to have a slash-and-burn strategy where we don't care about the rule of law or the guardrails around our democracy. We start lying and having no regard for the truth, the way the other side seems to be comfortable with right now, because if that's how we fight, then we lose what we're fighting for," he said. Addressing voter frustration that Democrats are not pushing back forcefully enough, Obama defended a measured approach. "Sometimes I think we're tough on Democrats," he said. "When I was President of the United States, I suppose I could have simply unilaterally ordered the military to go into some red state and harass and intimidate a governor there or cut off funding for states that didn't vote for me, I could have exercised that prerogative, but that is contrary to how I think our democracy is supposed to work, and I think we shouldn't get discouraged by the fact that we have a tougher job," he said.

नहर किनारे गड्ढे में डूबने से युवक की मौत, मुआवजे की मांग तेज

Jasa, Bihar:मुकुल जायसवाल स्लग - नहर किनारे गड्ढे में डूबने से युवक की मौत, मुआवजे की मांग सकरौली गांव में पैर फिसलने से शिवनारायण साह की दुखद मौत, पोस्टमार्टम के बाद परिजनों ने प्रशासन से मुआवजा मांगा वियो - कैमूर जिले के मोहनिया थाना क्षेत्र अंतर्गत सकरौली गांव में रविवार की सुबह एक दुखद हादसा हुआ। 36 वर्षीय शिवनारायण साह नहर किनारे शौच के लिए गए थे। लौटते समय नहर के किनारे उनका पैर फिसल गया और पास में बने गड्ढे में भरा पानी में गिरकर वे डूब गए। ग्रामीणों ने सूचना मिलते ही उन्हें बाहर निकाला, लेकिन तब तक उनकी मौत हो चुकी थी। मृतक दया साह के पुत्र थे और गांव के ही निवासी थे। परिजनों ने बताया कि सुबह का समय होने के कारण आसपास कोई नहीं था, जिससे बचाव संभव नहीं हो सका। हादसे की सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और शव का पंचनामा किया। शव को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भभुआ सदर अस्पताल लाया गया, जहां पोस्टमार्टम पूरा हुआ। परिजनों ने इस हादसे को लेकर गहरा दुख जताया है। उन्होंने जिला प्रशासन से मुआवजे की मांग की है, ताकि परिवार को आर्थिक सहायता मिल सके। ग्रामीणों का कहना है कि नहर किनारे कई जगह गड्ढे बने हुए हैं, जो खतरनाक साबित हो रहे हैं। स्थानीय लोग प्रशासन से ऐसी जगहों को भरने या चेतावनी बोर्ड लगाने की मांग कर रहे हैं, ताकि भविष्य में ऐसे हादसे टाले जा सकें। पुलिस मामले की जांच कर रही है। बाइट - परिजन

Munger, Bihar:हत्या कर रेल ट्रैक किनारे फेंका सिर, धड़ की तलाश नया रामनगर थाने की पुलिस ने जमालपुर-बरियारपुर रेलखंड पर स्थित पुराने रेल सुरंग से किया बरामद मुंगेर : नया रामनगर थाने की पुलिस ने जमालपुर-बरियारपुर रेलखंड पर स्थित पुराने रेल सुरंग के अंदर पोल संख्या 355/22 के पास रेलवे ट्रैक किनारे पत्थरों के नीचे एक मानव सिर रविवार को बरामद किया है। इसके बाद सुरंग और आसपास के क्षेत्रों में लोगों की भारी भीड़ जुट गई। पुलिस ने घटना के बाद सुरंग, रेलवे ट्रैक और आसपास के इलाकों में कई घंटों तक सघन तलाशी अभियान चलाया, लेकिन मृतक का धड़ कहीं नहीं मिल सका। घटनास्थल पर खून के कोई निशान नहीं मिलने से प्रथम दृष्टया ट्रेन से कटने अथवा किसी रेल हादसे की संभावना को पुलिस ने खारिज कर दिया है। प्रारंभिक जांच में पुलिस इस निष्कर्ष पर पहुंची है कि हत्या किसी अन्य स्थान पर की गई और पहचान छिपाने की नीयत से शव के टुकड़े कर सिर को सुनसान सुरंग में फेंका गया। पुलिस के अनुसार बरामद मानव सिर को देखकर जिसका सिर मिला है उसकी उम्र 55 से 60 वर्ष के बीच है। फिलहाल पहचान नहीं हो सकी है। इस मामले में अज्ञात के खिलाफ हत्या का मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है। पहचान सुनिश्चित करने के लिए पुलिस ने सिर की तस्वीर इंटरनेट मीडिया और विभिन्न पुलिस ग्रुपों में साझा की है, ताकि किसी प्रकार का सुराग मिल सके। बरामद सिर को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए पहले सदर अस्पताल लाया गया, लेकिन वहां आवश्यक संसाधन उपलब्ध नहीं होने के कारण उसे जवाहरलाल नेहरू मेडिकल कालेज भागलपुर भेजा गया है। पुलिस ने साक्ष्य के रूप में सिर को सुरक्षित रखने के साथ-साथ डीएनए सैंपल भी संरक्षित किया है, जिससे भविष्य में मृतक की पहचान में मदद मिल सके। सदर एसडीपीओ अभिषेक आनंद ने बताया

This year marks 1000 years of the Ghazni attack and the destruction of the temple, and its subsequent resurrection. Somnath symbolizes the indestructible spirit of India and the glory of Indian civilization. Marking 1000 years of the historic episode, the film aims to bring to screen, a story that symbolises resilience, faith and the indestructible spirit of India. Taking to Instagram handle, Bhansali productions shared the update with the caption, "A temple can be broken, not the faith. Sanjay Leela Bhansali presents - "JAI SOMNATH". Directed by Ketan Mehta In cinemas worldwide, 2027." The history of Somnath narrates the victory of creation over destruction. From Sultan Mahmud of Ghazni's attack in 1026 to centuries of foreign invasions, there were repeated attempts to destroy this centre of faith. Yet, each time, the heroes of India defended this land with their blood. Noida, Uttar Pradesh:New Delhi [India], February 15 (ANI): India's real estate regulatory architecture must shift towards artificial intelligence-led oversight and machine-to-machine digital integration even as the country prepares for an unprecedented urban expansion, India senior official in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) said. Addressing the National Urban & Real Estate Development Conclave organised by NAREDCO at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, Kuldip Narayan, Joint Secretary, MoHUA, said India's urban population is projected to grow from around 50 crore at present to nearly 80 crore by 2047-2050, and may even exceed that level. "Whether we like it or not, our urban population will cross 80 crore by 2050. We have to adapt, and we have to carefully align our actions," he said, underscoring that more than half of the built-up space required by 2050 is yet to be constructed. Over the next 20-25 years, India will have to significantly expand housing supply while simultaneously undertaking large-scale brownfield redevelopment, he said. However, housing cannot be treated in isolation. Urban planning, public transport and housing must function as an integrated framework. "Talking about them separately is an urban policy error," he remarked, adding that resilient and sustainable urban services will be essential to support such population growth. Narayan said efficient land markets are central to this transition. A substantial portion of urban land remains locked due to regulatory constraints, litigation and market inefficiencies. In several cities, land accounts for over 50 per cent of total project cost, making housing unaffordable and constraining supply. "We need efficient land markets and a strong institutional regulatory framework that promotes development rather than merely controls it," he said. Access to long-term capital will also be critical to finance large-scale housing and infrastructure creation. "If we want to achieve Viksit Bharat by 2047, urban development and real estate must be structurally prepared. Society, government and the industry must move together," he said. Within this broader transformation, Narayan emphasised that regulation must evolve technologically. Referring to the Real Estate Regulation and Development Act (RERA), he said the law marked a historic reform by institutionalising registration, escrow safeguards, and grievance redressal, but now requires further digitalisation. He further noted that much of the available data is static and PDF-based, which limits its utility. He called for machine-readable quarterly progress reports and integration of project approvals, financial disclosures and compliance data so that regulatory systems can generate automated early-warning signals and real-time insights. Regulatory platforms, he said, should adopt machine-to-machine communication similar to that seen in banking and taxation systems. Interoperability across state RERAs would allow authorities to track developers' activities across jurisdictions and improve supervisory effectiveness. Importantly, such transparency must also benefit homebuyers. Project-level data, he said, should be presented in a simplified and intelligible format so that an ordinary buyer can assess compliance history and risk before making a purchase. The two-day conclave was attended by Manohar Lal Khattar, union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs; Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, Civil Aviation Minister; Tokhan Sahu, Minister of State for Housing; and RERA chiefs from several states. Narayan said regulation and development must move in tandem if India is to sustain its next phase of urbanisation. Technology-driven transparency, efficient land markets and institutional coordination, he added, will form the backbone of the real estate sector's contribution to the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision. Noida, Uttar Pradesh:Congress MP Karti Chidambaram on Sunday dismissed claims that Tamil Nadu is hostile to Sanatan Dharma, asserting that the term carries a different connotation in the state and is often associated with caste hierarchy rather than religious practice. In an exclusive interview with ANI, Chidambaram questioned the widespread use of the term "Sanatan," saying it is not commonly used in Tamil Nadu. "What is Sanatan? That is not a term which anybody in Tamil Nadu uses...We are more Hindu than the North Indians. Per square kilometer, we have more temples. We break more coconuts every day," he said, adding that he visits temples frequently. "I go to more temples than a lot of people collectively in the BJP," he claimed. "There is not a single day I would step out of the house without putting vibhuti or kundalama. 'Sanadharan Dharma' is not a term we use," he remarked. Referring to his upbringing, Chidambaram said he grew up in a religious household influenced by his grandparents. "I grew up in a way, my grandparents were very religious. My faith, my parents are not, but my grandparents were very religious. My grandmother didn\'t take me to the puja room and say, come, let\'s practice Sanatana," he said, suggesting that spirituality in Tamil Nadu is deeply rooted even if the terminology differs. Referring to the controversy triggered in 2023 by remarks from Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, Chidambaram said the issue arose from differing interpretations of the term. "This whole thing became a controversy because Udhayanidhi Stalin said something against this term...In Tamil Nadu, that term means caste hierarchy. That is how we use it," he said. Highlighting that in popular parlance in the state, "It means caste hierarchy. He was only talking about caste hierarchy. Nobody talks about the practice of the Hindu faith." In 2023, Udhayanidhi had compared "Sanatana" to diseases such as malaria and dengue and said it should be "eradicated" rather than opposed, sparking a nationwide political debate. Tamil Nadu Minister said, "Sanatana is like malaria and dengue, and so it must be eradicated and not opposed. I thank the organisers of this conference for giving me the opportunity to deliver a special address. You have kept the name of the conference as 'Sanatana Abolition Conference' rather than 'Anti-Sanatana Conference', and I appreciate that. Few things cannot be opposed those should be abolished only. We can\'t oppose Dengue, Mosquitoes, Malaria, or Corona, we have to eradicate them that\'s how we have to eradicate Sanatana. Rather than opposing Sanatana, it should be eradicated," Udhayanidhi said. Chidambaram maintained that in popular parlance in Tamil Nadu, the term is linked to caste hierarchy and not to the broader practice of the Hindu faith. "There is no prohibition on the practice of the faith in Tamil Nadu. Absolutely none. Nobody can say, be it from any community, any socio-economic group, to say, my practice of the faith is fettered in Tamil Nadu," he said. Responding to criticism that the Dravidian political model amounts to "Karunanidhi family plus anti-Brahmanism," Chidambaram strongly rejected the charge. "There is no anti-Brahmanism. This false victimhood of the Brahmins must stop," he said. "Where is the violence against the Brahmins? Brahmins are among the most privileged people in this country, and they are very privileged in Tamil Nadu too," he added. Congress MP Chidambaram also argued that members of the Brahmin community hold prominent positions across professions, including industry, law, medicine, cinema and government. "There has been no genocide against Brahmins. There is no violence against Brahmins. There is no threat to the safety of Brahmins in Tamil Nadu. Nobody is disrupting any ritual of the Brahmin in Tamil Nadu," he said. The Congress leader reiterated that narratives portraying Brahmins as victims in Tamil Nadu are "completely erroneous" and insisted that religious freedom remains intact in the state.
