According to reports, Assistant Professor Shivrajkumar was supervising students as an invigilator during the internal exam. During the supervision, he noticed a student named Shahbaz attempting to cheat using a mobile phone. The professor approached Shahbaz and asked him to submit his answer sheet. Eyewitnesses and CCTV footage show that the student initially resisted handing over the sheet, resulting in a brief argument between the professor and the student. Eventually, Shahbaz submitted his answer sheet, but the situation escalated when the professor instructed him to leave the classroom. The video shows the student initially getting up from his seat and appearing to leave. However, moments later, he returned to the professor and slapped him twice before other students could intervene. The attack left the professor shaken, and the entire episode was clearly captured in the CCTV footage, which has since circulated widely on social media platforms. The college administration has confirmed that it has taken cognizance of the incident and has initiated an internal investigation. Officials have stated that strict disciplinary action may be taken against the student once the inquiry is completed. However, no police complaint has been filed as of now.
