The accused attacked his wife at their house, poured petrol on her, and set her on fire. When their daughter tried to intervene, she too suffered burn injuries. Locals rushed the victims to a hospital after hearing their screams. The woman, identified as Triveni, succumbed to her injuries, while the daughter survived with minor burns. The accused husband, Venkatesh, a native of Huzurabad in Nalgonda district, was arrested by police after a manhunt. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
