Social activist Mirza Sajad Hussain Beigh has expressed deep concern over the ongoing Iran–Israel war and its possible impact on students and businesspersons from Jammu and Kashmir currently in the affected region. Reacting to the escalating tensions in the Middle East, Mirza Sajad Hussain Beigh said the situation has created anxiety among families in Kashmir whose children are studying or working in Iran and nearby areas. He said the safety of these students must be treated as a top priority. Beigh appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to take immediate steps to ensure the safe return of Kashmiri students and residents who are currently in the conflict zone. He said the Government of India should coordinate with the concerned authorities and the Indian Embassy to facilitate evacuation and provide assistance to those stranded due to the ongoing conflict. According to him, many families in Kashmir are worried and waiting for reassurance regarding the safety of their children. Mirza Sajad Hussain Beigh also urged the Jammu and Kashmir administration to establish a helpline and maintain constant communication with affected families, so that timely information and support can be provided. While expressing solidarity with the families, the social activist also appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to remain calm and maintain peace, stating that humanitarian concerns should be addressed collectively during such international crises.
