Under Sewa Parv 2025, a special health and service-oriented program was organized today at Sub-District Hospital Bijbehara. The event, which included a blood donation camp and awareness activities under the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan, was inaugurated by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Anantnag, Dr. Khalid Parvaiz. Doctors, paramedical staff, and volunteers actively participated in the camp, with several people donating blood to highlight the importance of blood donation in saving lives and serving humanity. The campaign focuses on women’s health, maternal and child care, and spreading awareness about family planning. Free services including consultations, diagnostics, medicines, blood, and transport are being provided to pregnant women. Family planning services such as IUCD insertions and sterilization camps are also being conducted under the initiative. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Khalid Parvaiz emphasized that such initiatives are crucial not only for creating a healthy society but also for laying the foundation of a stronger and healthier future.
