To ease the problems being faced by locals after heavy snowfall, the Government has provided two snow cutter machines to Banihal, which will significantly speed up snow clearance work on roads. On the directions of MLA Banihal, Haji Sajjad Shaheen, officials of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) flagged off the two snow cutters for far-off areas of Banihal in Ramban district. To improve snow clearance and ensure all-weather road connectivity, the Government has provided one snow cutter each to R&B and PMGSY Banihal, which will help speed up road restoration during harsh winter conditions. The initiative aims to ensure smooth road connectivity and prompt clearance of snow during harsh winter conditions, providing much-needed relief to commuters and local residents. The inauguration ceremony was attended by XEN PMGSY Sansar Singh, officials and officers of R&B PWD and PMGSY, National Conference Provincial Youth Vice President Jammu Tariq Ahmed Dar, along with local representatives. Officers emphasized that the facility will play a crucial role in maintaining all-weather road connectivity in the region. While thanking the Government and MLA Banihal, the leaders reaffirmed their commitment to improving infrastructure and public services in Banihal. Locals also expressed their gratitude to the Government, concerned departments, and the MLA for providing these much-needed snow clearance machines.
