Block Medical Officer Banihal, Dr Shabir Ahmed, informed that the much-needed dialysis facility is being installed at SDH Banihal, which will benefit local residents in a big way. He said that earlier, patients were forced to travel long distances to Srinagar or Jammu for dialysis treatment, causing both financial and physical hardship. With the establishment of the facility at Banihal, patients can now access life-saving treatment closer to home. Dr Shabir Ahmed expressed gratitude to the higher authorities for providing this vital public healthcare unit, stating that it will significantly strengthen medical services in the area. Meanwhile, local residents have welcomed the development and expressed happiness and gratitude to the government and the health department for addressing a long-standing public demand.
