Anchor: Reaffirming its commitment to empowering youth and guiding them towards a secure and progressive future, the Indian Army organized a Career Counseling & Guidance Programme at Government Higher Secondary School, Ukhral, in District Ramban. The initiative aimed to spread awareness among students and the local population regarding diverse career opportunities in the defence forces and civil sectors, motivating them toward a purposeful professional life. As part of the programme, representatives from multiple professional fields were invited to share their experiences and expert insights. An Assistant Commandant from the CRPF, a Sub-Inspector from the local Police Station, teachers from reputed coaching institutes, and officers from the Indian Army interacted with the youth, providing valuable guidance on educational choices, competitive exams, and long-term career planning. Speakers highlighted career opportunities in the Indian Armed Forces, CAPFs, J&K Police, Civil Services, Banking sector, Engineering, Medical, and various government and private job sectors. They also provided detailed information on eligibility criteria, selection procedures, required educational streams, and preparation methods. The session proved inspirational as students enthusiastically raised questions, sought clarification on different career paths, and openly discussed their aspirations. Dignitaries focused on the importance of discipline, dedication, academic excellence, and physical fitness in achieving professional success.
