Security Forces on High Alert Along LoC to Prevent Infiltration Attempts: IG BSF Kashmir Taking measures to counter potential infiltration attempts by terrorists, security forces have heightened their alert status along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. Inspector General (IG) of the Border Security Force (BSF) Kashmir Frontier, Ashok Yadav, said today, while highlighting the presence of terrorists waiting at launch pads across the LoC in POK. IG Yadav said, as winter approaches, a historical trend of increased infiltration attempts are being anticipated in the Valley. "There are always attempts to infiltrate before snowfall. With about two months remaining before winter sets in, we remain vigilant as these terrorist groups know their chances will diminish significantly for the next six months," he said. The IG confirmed that terrorists are currently positioned at various launch pads opposite the Bandipora and Kupwara sectors, poised for an opportunity to breach the border. "While they may wait for inclement weather to make their move, our security measures are robust and tightly coordinated," he added. In collaboration with the Indian Army, the BSF is employing advanced surveillance technology to monitor and dominate the LoC effectively. "Our forces have successfully thwarted two infiltration attempts this year alone. The level of alertness and the sophisticated equipment we utilize make it increasingly difficult for any unauthorized crossings into our area of responsibility," IG Yadav said. ENDS___
