Bhaderwah town is witnessing heavy snowfall since yesterday, the heaviest recorded in the last ten years. Life has come to a standstill as thick layers of snow have covered roads, houses, and markets. The ZEE Media team reached ground zero to assess the situation and the challenges faced by the locals. Around one and a half feet of snow has accumulated in Bhaderwah town, making it the highest snowfall recorded here in the past decade. In the higher reaches, snowfall has crossed four to five feet so far, further worsening the situation. Due to continuous snowfall, all roads connecting Bhaderwah have been closed as a precautionary measure. Electricity and water supply have also been disrupted in Bhaderwah and its adjoining areas, causing inconvenience to residents. The administration has been put on high alert, and efforts are underway to restore essential services once weather conditions improve.
