Grand Eid-ul-Fitr Congregations Organized by Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian Across Kashmir Srinagar, Under the auspices of Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian Jammu and Kashmir, large and spiritually uplifting congregations were held across the length and breadth of the Kashmir Valley to mark the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Thousands of faithful participated in these gatherings, offering prayers and expressing gratitude to Almighty Allah for His countless blessings. The largest congregation took place at the Markazi Imambara Budgam, where Eid prayers were led by the President of Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi. Similarly, at the historic Qadeemi Imambara Hassanabad Srinagar, Eid prayers were led by Hujjat-ul-Islam Aga Syed Mujtaba Abbas Mosavi Al-Safavi. On the occasion, Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi extended heartfelt Eid greetings to the Muslim Ummah and elaborated on the true philosophy of Eid in his address. He stated that, in essence, only those nations truly celebrate Eid who, despite enduring severe hardships, sacrifices, and trials, have remained steadfast in the remembrance and glorification of Allah—particularly referring to the people of Palestine, Gaza, and Iran. He urged the Muslim Ummah to offer special prayers for the freedom of Gaza and the success of Iran. In light of the prevailing global situation, he appealed to the Ummah to observe Eid-ul-Fitr with simplicity and to commemorate it as a symbol of solidarity with martyrs and oppressed nations. He particularly paid tribute to the immense sacrifices of the martyrs, including Rahbar-e-Moazzam Ayatollah al-Uzma Syed Ali Khamenei (may Allah elevate his status), among others. Addressing local issues, Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi called upon the concerned authorities in Kashmir to immediately and unconditionally release all individuals detained during recent peaceful protests. He emphasized that suppressing peaceful voices runs contrary to democratic principles. He also strongly condemned the restrictions imposed on offering Eid prayers at the historic Jamia Masjid Srinagar and the house detention of Mirwaiz Kashmir, Molvi Dr. Umar Farooq. He noted that Jamia Masjid Srinagar holds immense religious, spiritual, and historical significance as a central place of worship and congregation in the Valley. Restrictions on places of worship, he said, deeply hurt the religious sentiments of the people. He urged the authorities to act with wisdom and ensure full freedom for the public to perform their religious obligations during such sacred occasions. Eid congregations were also held at several other key locations, including Khanqah-e-Moula (Khanqah of Mir Shamsuddin Araqi) at Zadibal Srinagar, Jamia Masjid Abi Guzar Srinagar, Imambara Gamdoo Sonawari Bandipora, Imambara Dab Ganderbal, Jamia Masjid Wakharwan Pulwama, Imambara Sufi Pora Pahalgam Anantnag, Imambara Yagipora Magam, Astaan-e-Sharif Mir Shamsuddin Araqi at Chadoora, Jamia Masjid Sonapah, Jamia Masjid Iskanderpora Beerwah, Imambara Chattergam, Imambara Suth Katerbagh Chadoora, Eidgah Hussaini Mohalla Bala Nowgam Sumbal Bandipora, Imambara Bona Mohalla Inderkote Sumbal Bandipora, Jamia Masjid Musa Park Inderkote, Imambara Zalpora Sonawari, Imambara Ichhama Beerwah, Imambara Chakarpora Batpora Khag, Masjid Sharif Atnah Beerwah, Imambaragah Panchgund Beerwah, Imambara Kamalkote Uri Baramulla, Jamia Masjid Sharif Garend Kalan, Masjid Imam Sajjad (AS) Hardu Wamnah, Imambara Wanhama, and several others. In conclusion, Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian once again appealed to the Muslim world to demonstrate unity and solidarity, and to continue supporting oppressed nations while praying for their freedom and dignity.
