Exclusive Interview | Shia Community Kashmir Condemns Tarlai Blast, Abid Ansari Slams Pakistan Srinagar: Strongly condemning the brutal blast at Imambargah Khadijat-ul-Kubra in Tarlai, Islamabad (Pakistan), Shia community Kashmir head Abid Ansari has termed the attack a “cowardly and inhuman act against innocent worshippers.” In an exclusive interview, Abid Ansari expressed deep grief over the incident and extended solidarity with the victims and their families. He said that targeting an Imambargah reflects a deliberate attempt to spread fear and sectarian hatred. “Attacking a sacred place during prayers is a crime against humanity. Such acts have no place in Islam or any civilized society,” Ansari said. Abid Ansari strongly slammed Pakistan, accusing its authorities of failing to protect religious minorities and curb extremist elements. “Pakistan continues to make hollow claims of protecting minorities, but ground realities expose the truth. Repeated attacks on Shia places of worship show complete administrative failure,” he stated. He further said that the international community must take serious note of the continued persecution of Shias in Pakistan and pressurize Islamabad to ensure accountability. “The world cannot remain silent spectators. Those responsible must be brought to justice, and Pakistan must guarantee safety to its Shia population,” Ansari added. The Shia community in Kashmir also offered special prayers for the swift recovery of the injured and peace for the departed souls. The blast at the Imambargah in Tarlai has once again raised serious concerns over the safety of religious minorities in Pakistan, with voices from across the region demanding justice and security.
