दुर्ग के मोहन नगर में सोना गबन केस, पूर्व आरक्षक मोनिका गुप्ता गिरफ्तार

In Durg's Mohan Nagar area, a serious gold theft case has led to the arrest of Monika Soni Gupta, a dismissed female head constable, on charges of misappropriating seized gold jewelry; the case has been registered and she has been remanded to judicial custody. Years ago, in the same police station, about 79 grams of gold jewelry were seized and kept in the custody of the investigating officer Monika Gupta, but later the jewelry went missing. CCTV footage and technical evidence during the investigation pointed to Monika Gupta; sufficient evidence led to filing of the case against her and her arrest. It has also emerged that Monika Gupta had previously been in controversy; an internal inquiry found her culpable and she was dismissed from service for abusing her position to secure a job for a daughter in exchange for money, despite the charge sheet and final memorandum.
