Rashid Shareef said there is nothing wrong in building a masjid or temple in Greater Hyderabad and that anyone is free to choose any name “even if someone wants to name it after Babar.” Speaking to Zee, he urged people to avoid unnecessary publicity around religious constructions to prevent disturbances. He appealed to Hindu citizens to cooperate and welcome the proposed masjid, stressing that communal harmony must remain the priority.
