In the heart of Srinagar, the Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated the Gandhi Bazar Exhibition, aimed at promoting tourism and showcasing Jammu and Kashmir’s rich cultural heritage. The exhibition features a wide range of handicrafts and handloom products, representing the traditional craftsmanship of the region. Speaking with Salaam TV exclusively the Deputy CM said the event would attract tourists and boost the local economy by providing artisans with greater exposure. Meanwhile, Surinder Kumar Choudhary reacted sharply to criticism from the opposition BJP and PDP, who accused the NC-led government of failing to fulfill its promises after one year in office. In conversation with Salaam TV Surinder Choudhary said, “Before questioning us, the BJP and PDP should answer what they achieved during their 11 years of alliance in J&K. We should be judged after completing five years, not one.” He also hit out at opposition leader Sunil Kumar Sharma, remarking that “he seems to be working these days as the spokesperson for Raj Bhavan.”
