जलपाईगुड़ियों में बुजुर्ग महिला के सिर वाला शव मिला, छानबीन जारी

জলপাইগুড়ির বাহাদুর পঞ্চায়েত এলাকায় মহিলার মুণ্ড কাটা দেহ উদ্ধার। ঘটনায় এলাকায় আলোড়ন। ৯ বছরের নাতিকে নিয়ে কাল রাতে ঘুমিয়েছিলেন ৬৩ বছরের সমিজা খাতুন। পাশের ঘরে শুয়েছিলেন এক ছেলে। ঝড় থামলে আবার নিজের ঘরে ফিরে আসেন। মাঝরাতে ঝড়ের সময় নিজের ঘর থেকে ছেলের ঘরে যান তিনি। আজ সকালে চা খাওয়ার জন্য ছেলে বউমা ডাকতে গিয়ে দেখেন, ওই বৃদ্ধা নিজের ঘরে নেই। এর পরই শুরু হয় খোঁজ। দেখা যায়, ঘরের পিছনে মহিলার মুণ্ডহীন রক্তাক্ত দেহ পড়ে রয়েছে। জেলায় অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার (হেড কোয়ার্টার) শৌভনিক মুখোপাধ্যায় বলেন, তদন্ত চলছে। Today at around 10:45 hrs, information was received regarding the recovery of a beheaded body of an elderly woman, identified as Samija Khatun (73 yrs), resident of Chaichandi Kamat, Sathkhamar, Bahadur, District Jalpaiguri, from behind her house. Preliminary observation suggests that the neck was severed using a sharp cutting object. A search operation has been initiated to locate the missing head. As per initial inputs, the deceased was last seen the previous night at around 23:00 hrs when she went to sleep. Police have reached the spot and investigation is underway. A police dog squad and FSL team are on the way. Further details will follow as the investigation progresses.
