Department of HP& M Ramban organizes workshop on PMFME scheme at ITI Banihal.

Sea Shell Exhibition held at District Police Lines, today Ramban Ramban,unique Sea Shell Exhibition was organized by the Police and District Administration Ramban in collaboration with the Leaf Monkey Hiking Club at District Police Lines Chandrog. The exhibition was formally inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, in the presence of Senior Superintendent of Police, Kulbir Singh, and members of the Leaf Monkey Hiking Club. 

Deputy Commissioner Ramban Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary visited far-off Chamalwas area in JK's Ramban on Wednesday to chair mega public outreach programme to address the concerns of people and to listen their grievances at their door steps. The event held at Govt Higher Secondary School Chamalwas, part of ongoing public outreach program, saw the Deputy Commissioner engaged in a day-long interaction with the people. A significant number of people from various walks of life attended this event.

डीपीएपी अध्यक्ष गुलाम नबी आजाद ने बनहाल में पार्टी नेताओं के घर जाकर उनकी मां के निधन पर शोक व्यक्त किया। मीडिया से बातचीत में उन्होंने उपराज्यपाल को शक्तियां देने के केंद्र सरकार के फैसले को नासमझी भरा बताया। आजाद ने कहा कि अगर जल्द विधानसभा चुनाव होने हैं और राज्य का दर्जा वापस करना है, तो उपराज्यपाल को शक्तियां देने का कोई औचित्य नहीं है। उन्होंने जम्मू में बढ़ती आतंकी घटनाओं पर चिंता जताई और पाकिस्तान को अपने घरेलू हालात सुधारने की सलाह दी।

A BJP workers meeting was held at BJP office Banihal in which hundreds of BJP workers participated. The meeting was presided over by general secretary BJP Tarun Chugh. While talking on the occasion Tarun Chugh said that Jammu and Kashmir has been changed from terrorism capital to tourism capital and terrorism will be wiped out soon from Jammu and Kashmir. He said BJP is ready for election and BJP is advancing on Banihal assembly constituency and BJP will win this seat with a big margin.

Sub Divisional Administration Banihal organized a mega one day awareness programme on 'Mission Youth' schemes and Labour Welfare Schemes in Banihal area of Ramban on Thursday. ALC Ramban Amit Kumar presided the programme as cheif guest, while DDC Councillor Imtiaz Ahmed Khanday, Tehsildar Banihal Imtiaz Ahmed, officers and officials of different Departments were also present on the occasion. A large number of people especially youths and labourers from Banihal areas are present there.

The Indian Army is continuing its efforts to uplift the status of women in rural areas of the Kashmiri community. It has started a Stitching and Tailoring Course for women from the remote areas of Banihal tehsil in Jammu Division. This project is in line with the Indian government's "Skill India" and "Digital India" initiatives. A total of 10 women have been selected for this three-month program, taking into consideration their economic conditions.

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban Baseer-Ul-Haq Chowdhary along with DDC Chairperson Ramban Dr Shamshada Shan and others on Thursday launched Sampoornata Abhiyan in Aspirational Block (AB) Kharri of District Ramban. The event, organised at Government Higher Secondary School Kharri, focused on the formulation of the Action Plan for saturation of 6 identified Key Performance Indicators by DDC Chairperson Ramban Dr Shamshada Shan, DDC Councillors, District and sectoral officers.

The Ramban district administration has set up a high-quality tented accommodation at Langer site in Banihal for Amarnath Yatra pilgrims. With a capacity of 5,000 beds, the facility offers bedding and other necessary amenities. DC Baseer-Ul-Haq Chowdhary inspected the site and stated that this arrangement aims to facilitate more pilgrims during the Amarnath Yatra 2024. The tent city is located at Lamber Ground, Banihal, and is fully equipped to cater to the needs of the yatris.

Ramban district in Jammu and Kashmir is set to achieve 100% coverage under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) next year. Currently, about 70% of the district's population has been connected to the scheme. Residents from remote villages like Karool, Kundi, Sildhar, Dhandrath, and Ramban expressed gratitude to the UT and district administration for the progress. The community is optimistic about full coverage in the coming year, which will ensure safe drinking water access for all households.

Choudhary Roshan Hussain, the BJP Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory president of ST Morcha, visited Kawna and Mahu areas in the Banihal Assembly constituency. He addressed public gatherings in both locations, listening to local issues and concerns. Hussain assured the residents of prompt action to address their problems.
