Rajesh BaishyaJayant Basumatary from UPPL candidate for the Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency, arrived at the counting center in Mushalpur. During his election campaign, he expressed hope of winning by a margin of 1.5 lakh votes. He claimed that the Bodoland People's Front (BPF) has no chance of winning seats and has not advanced to the 3rd round of counting. He also said that the UPPL will ultimately have the emerge victory. Preparations are going on for a victory celebration in Kokrajhar.

महराजगंज : पुरंदरपुर थाना क्षेत्र के मोहनपुर ढाला पर हाईवे पर सड़क निर्माण कार्य चल रहा है। सोमवार देर रात निर्माणाधीन ब्रिज पर काम के दौरान अचानक ब्रिज ढह गया, जिसके मलबे में दबकर आठ मजदूर घायल हो गए। हादसे के बाद मजदूरों की चीख-पुकार सुनकर आसपास के ग्रामीण मौके पर पहुंचे और पुलिस को सूचना दी। पुलिस ने तुरंत मौके पर पहुंचकर घायल मजदूरों को मलबे से निकाला और इलाज के लिए फरेंदा सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र भेजा। पुरंदरपुर थाना प्रभारी धर्मेंद्र सिंह ने बताया कि हाईवे निर्माण कार्य के दौरान यह हादसा हुआ। सभी घायल मजदूरों को अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है और उनकी हालत खतरे से बाहर है।
