Noida, Uttar Pradesh:“34 वर्षों की निस्वार्थ सेवा के बाद राष्ट्रीय भाजपा नेता सुखमिंदरपाल सिंह ग्रेवाल भूखड़ी कलां ने भारतीय जनता पार्टी की प्राथमिक सदस्यता से दिया इस्तीफा”लुधियाना (पंजाब), 2 अगस्त 2026: एक महत्वपूर्ण राजनीतिक घटनाक्रम के तहत राष्ट्रीय भाजपा नेता सुखमिंदरपाल सिंह ग्रेवाल भूखड़ी कलां ने लगातार 34 वर्षों से अधिक समय तक भारतीय जनता पार्टी की सेवा करने के उपरांत पार्टी की प्राथमिक सदस्यता से इस्तीफा दे दिया है। उन्होंने अपना इस्तीफा भारतीय जनता पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष श्री नितिन नवीन जी को, भाजपा पंजाब के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष सरदार केवल सिंह ढिल्लों जी के माध्यम से भेज दिया है। अपने एक्स (X) अकाउंट पर साझा की गई पोस्ट में सुखमिंदरपाल सिंह ग्रेवाल भूखड़ी कलां ने लिखा कि उनका यह इस्तीफा केवल किसी राजनीतिक दल से संबंध समाप्त करने का निर्णय नहीं है, बल्कि त्याग, समर्पण, अनुशासन और अटूट वैचारिक प्रतिबद्धता से तय किए गए एक लंबे सफर का समापन है। उन्होंने कहा कि वर्ष 1992 में वह भारतीय जनता पार्टी से उस समय जुड़े थे, जब पंजाब में भाजपा का साथ देना सुविधा का नहीं, बल्कि साहस, दृढ़ विश्वास और बलिदान का विषय था। उन कठिन दिनों में हजारों कार्यकर्ता राजनीतिक विरोध, सामाजिक दबाव और अनेक चुनौतियों के बावजूद चट्टान की तरह पार्टी के साथ डटे रहे। उन्होंने कहा कि वह भी उन समर्पित कार्यकर्ताओं में शामिल रहे, जिन्होंने सबसे कठिन दौर में भी पार्टी का साथ नहीं छोड़ा। ग्रेवाल ने कहा कि अपने पूरे राजनीतिक जीवन में उन्होंने न कभी किसी पद की मांग की और न ही सत्ता अथवा किसी व्यक्तिगत लाभ के लिए कभी पैरवी या लॉबिंग की। उनके लिए राजनीति कभी व्यक्तिगत लाभ या स्वयं का प्रचार करने का माध्यम नहीं रही। उनका एकमात्र उद्देश्य पार्टी को मजबूत करना, राष्ट्रवादी विचारधारा को आगे बढ़ाना तथा ईमानदारी और समर्पण के साथ समाज की सेवा करना था। उन्होंने कहा कि आज की पंजाब भाजपा उस पार्टी से लगभग पूरी तरह अलग हो चुकी है, जिससे वह तीन दशक से भी अधिक समय पहले जुड़े थे। उनके अनुसार त्याग, समर्पण और ईमानदार कार्यकर्ताओं का सम्मान करने वाली संस्कृति धीरे-धीरे समाप्त होती चली गई, जिसके कारण हजारों निस्वार्थ और समर्पित कार्यकर्ता निराश और हताश हो चुके हैं। ग्रेवाल ने कहा कि पंजाब भर के असंख्य समर्पित भाजपा कार्यकर्ता अपने जीवन के बहुमूल्य वर्ष पार्टी को समर्पित करने के बावजूद चुपचाप उपेक्षा का शिकार होते रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि अनेक निस्वार्थ कार्यकर्ता संगठन में गुमनाम होकर रह गए हैं तथा उनकी दशकों की मेहनत, निष्ठा और समर्पण को वह सम्मान नहीं मिला जिसके वे वास्तविक हकदार थे। उन्होंने कहा कि ईमानदार कार्यकर्ताओं को अपनी कुर्बानियों के बावजूद धीरे-धीरे हताश होते देखना अत्यंत पीड़ादायक है। उनके अनुसार जब समर्पित कार्यकर्ता स्वयं को उपेक्षित और अनसुना महसूस करने लगते हैं, तब उसका सबसे अधिक नुकसान संगठन को ही होता है। ग्रेवाल ने आगे कहा कि कोई भी siyasi दल अपने वैचारिक और समर्पित कार्यकर्ताओं की उपेक्षा करके तथा जमीनी स्तर पर काम करने वालों में निराशा फैलाकर कभी मजबूत नहीं बन सकता। उन्होंने कहा कि संगठन तभी आगे बढ़ते हैं, जब योग्यता, ईमानदारी, अनुशासन और समर्पण को व्यक्तिगत पसंद-नापसंद तथा आंतरिक गुटबाजी से ऊपर रखा जाता है। उन्होंने कहा कि उन्होंने भाजपा के साथ जीत और हार दोनों देखी हैं, राजनीतिक उतार-चढ़ाव और लंबे संघर्षों के दौर में भी पार्टी का साथ निभाया है, लेकिन आज जैसी निराशा उन्होंने पहले कभी अनुभव नहीं की। ग्रेवाल ने कहा कि उनका इस्तीफा न तो किसी व्यक्तिगत महत्वाकांक्षा का परिणाम है और न ही किसी पद अथवा चुनावी गणना से प्रेरित है। यह निर्णय लंबे समय तक आत्ममंथन, गहरे मानसिक कष्ट और आहत अंतःकरण की आवाज का परिणाम है। उन्होंने कहा कि अनेक तथ्य, घटनाएं और अनुभव ऐसे हैं, जिन्हें उन्होंने फिलहाल सार्वजनिक न करने का निर्णय लिया है। उन्होंने कहा कि उचित समय आने पर वह संपूर्ण सत्य जनता के सामने रखेंगे तथा विस्तार से बताएंगे कि किन परिस्थितियों ने उन्हें 34 वर्षों से अधिक की सेवा के बाद यह अत्यंत पीड़ादायक निर्णय लेने के लिए विवश किया। ग्रेवाल ने कहा कि मौन को कभी भी कमजोरी नहीं समझना चाहिए। कुछ सच्चाइयाँ कुछ समय के लिए छिप सकती हैं, किंतु अंततः सत्य की ही विजय होती है। उन्होंने आगे कहा कि सार्वजनिक जीवन में स्वाभिमान, ईमानदारी और नैतिक साहस सबसे बड़ी पूंजी होते हैं। उनके अनुसार कोई भी पद, सत्ता या राजनीतिक संबंध किसी व्यक्ति के सिद्धांतों, स्वाभिमान और अंतःकरण से बड़ा नहीं हो सकता। ग्रेवाल ने जोर देकर कहा कि उनका इस्तीफा उस वातावरण के विरुद्ध सिद्धांतों पर आधारित एक शांत लेकिन स्पष्ट विरोध है, जहाँ सच्चे समर्पण का सम्मान लगातार कम होता जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि जो कार्यकर्ता अपने जीवन के दशकों किसी संगठन को समर्पित कर देते हैं, वे सम्मान, न्याय और उचित पहचान पाने के पूर्ण अधिकारी हैं।0

The Minister held a detailed meeting with the officials of WAPCOS Ltd., a Government of India undertaking under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, which has been entrusted with the implementation of the project. Dr Jitendra Singh emphasised the need for expeditious implementation so that the benefits of this strategically important project reach the people at the earliest. He advised WAPCOS to explore innovative solutions and implementation strategies while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency. The Minister was informed that the project is being taken up in a phased manner. Work will commence while acquisition of the remaining land is pursued simultaneously, without waiting for completion of the entire land acquisition process. The implementing agency is also working out the project site and related requirements. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Dr Jitendra Singh said, long-pending national projects are being taken forward with renewed urgency. He noted that the Ujh Multipurpose Project, conceived nearly a century ago, had remained in limbo for decades, while the Shahpurkandi project had remained pending for about four decades. The delay in implementation of these projects, he said, resulted in the waters of the Ravi River and its tributaries continuing to flow into Pakistan. The Minister said that even when the Indus Waters Treaty was in force, Ravi, Satluj and Beas were India’s three rivers under the Treaty, with Ravi being the major river among them. He noted that the Treaty is now in abeyance. Dr Jitendra Singh said that the revival of the Shahpurkandi project in 2019, which is now almost complete, and the revival of the Ujh Multipurpose Project in 2026 reflect the Government’s resolve under Prime Minister Narendra Modi to realise long-delayed projects, optimise the use of India’s water resources and deliver tangible benefits to the people. The Ujh Multipurpose Project, located on the Ujh River, a main tributary of the Ravi River, is designed to generate around 186 MW to 212 MW of electricity. It is expected to provide irrigation to nearly 90,000 hectares of agricultural land in Kathua and Samba districts of Jammu & Kashmir and Pathankot and Gurdaspur districts of Punjab. The project will also supply drinking water to Kathua district and provide industrial water availability. The project is expected to strengthen agricultural productivity, improve water security, create new opportunities for economic development and contribute to the overall socio-economic progress of the union Territory. It also has an important security and border-management dimension and is backed by the Ministry of Home Affairs to restrict unregulated water flows and plug vulnerable cross-border infiltration routes along the riverbed. Dr Jitendra Singh reviewed the implementation milestones in detail and stressed the need for close coordination among all stakeholders and effective monitoring for timely execution. He assured WAPCOS of the Government’s full support and cooperation for the successful implementation and timely completion of the prestigious project.0

Chandigarh, Chandigarh:Press Release Chandigarh Administrator Announces ₹5 Lakh Financial Assistance for Each Bereaved Family of Four Boys died in Haridwar Tragedy Chandigarh, August 2: Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Shri Gulab Chand Kataria on Sunday announced a financial assistance of ₹5 lakh for each of the four bereaved families whose minor sons lost their lives after being swept away by the strong current of the River Ganga during the Kanwar Yatra in Haridwar on July 31. The Administrator visited the bereaved families this evening to express his condolences and offer support in the wake of the tragedy. Interacting with the family members, he conveyed his sympathies and assured them that the Chandigarh Administration stood firmly with them during this difficult time. Describing the incident as deeply distressing, Shri Kataria said the loss of four young lives had caused immense grief not only to their families but to the entire city. He noted that the deceased boys belonged to economically weaker families, with some living in extremely difficult financial circumstances, making the tragedy even more heartbreaking. He prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and wished strength to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss. Announcing the relief from the Governor's Discretionary Fund, the Administrator said that each of the four affected families would receive ₹5 lakh as financial assistance. He observed that while no monetary support could ever compensate for the loss of a child, the assistance was intended to provide immediate relief to the bereaved families during this period of immense hardship. Shri Kataria also directed the concerned officers to extend all possible assistance to the affected families and ensure that they receive every necessary support from the Chandigarh Administration without delay. Reiterating the Administration's commitment to stand by the bereaved families in this hour of grief, the Administrator assured them of every possible help and support.0
