ਪਹਿਲੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ 555ਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਪੁਰਬ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਅੱਜ ਕੋਟਕਪੂਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਨਗਰ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਨਗਰ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਦੇ ਸਪੀਕਰ ਕੁਲਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਭਰਾ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਬੀਰਇੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧਵਾਂ, ਪੀਆਰਓ ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਨੀ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ, ਅਕਾਲੀ ਆਗੂ ਕੁਲਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਰਾੜ ਸਮੇਤ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਰਾਜਸੀ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਹੁਦੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਲੰਗਰ ਵੀ ਲਾਏ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਸੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਕ ਸਾਂਝ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

In an advisory, Delhi Airport said, "Please be advised that operational challenges affecting certain domestic services are resulting in flight delays and cancellations. We strongly recommend passengers verify their flight status directly with their airline prior to departure for the airport. Our dedicated on-ground teams are working diligently with all partners to mitigate the disruption and ensure a comfortable passenger experience." Passengers are advised to regularly check their flight status with respective airlines and plan accordingly to avoid inconvenience, it added. Additionally, Delhi Airport confirmed that 225 Indigo flights, comprising both arrivals and departures, have been cancelled since the morning from the capital's hub, impacting a significant number of travellers. As per latest reports more than 500 flights of IndiGo stand cancelled on Friday. IndiGo, which is experiencing operational disruptions and cancellations, has sought temporary operational exemptions from certain Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) provisions for its A320 fleet until February 10, 2026, and assured that operational stability will be restored by that date, the DGCA said in a statement. Following a detailed review meeting under the chairmanship of the DGCA with the senior leadership of IndiGo on Thursday, the regulator said, "To reduce passenger inconvenience while maintaining safety margins, IndiGo has requested operational variations or exemptions from specific FDTL provisions for A320 operations up to February 10, 2026. IndiGo has assured DGCA that corrective actions are underway and that normalised and stable operations will be fully restored by February 10, 2026." IndiGo has been experiencing a sharp rise in cancellations, reaching approximately 170-200 flights per day, substantially higher than usual.

सुन्नी क्षेत्र में बरसात से घरों में पानी, सतलुज जलस्तर बढ़ने का खतरा

Shimla, Himachal Pradesh:shimla के पास लगते सुन्नी क्षेत्र में स्थानीय लोग बरसात के मौसम में घरों के अंदर पानी घुसने से परेशान हैं। सतलुज नदी इस समय शांत दिख रही है, पर बरसात के मौसम में घरों में तबाही मचाती है। पिछले तीन सालों से बरसात के मौसम में सतलुज नदी का पानी घरों के अंदर आ जाता है। आलम यह है कि लोगों को तीन महीने के लिए अपने घर छोड़ना पड़ता है। जिन लोगों ने क्षेत्र में जमीन खरीदी है, वे नया मकान बनाने के बारे में असमंजस में हैं। शिमला के जिले के उपायुक्त अनुपम कश्यप ने कोलडैम अधिकारियों के साथ मुलाकात कर प्रभावितों की मदद का आश्वासन दिया है। इलाके में सोनार सर्वे कर रहा है, जिसकी रिपोर्ट आने पर समस्या का समाधान किया जा सकेगा. प्रभावित राजेश कुमार, बबीता, मीना देवी और मीरा शर्मा ने कहा कि बरसात के मौसम में पानी घरों के अंदर आ जाता है। यह परेशानी 2023 के बाद से शुरू हुई है। इस साल भी पानी घरों तक पहुंचा। मकान के अंदर सामान और राशन खराब हुआ, तथा उन्हें घर छोड़कर आश्रय लेने पड़ा। मॉनसून के बढ़ते प्रभाव से चिंता है। प्रशासन मदद करता है, पर स्थाई समाधान चाहिये। कोलडैम की वजह से हर साल जलस्तर बढ़ रहा है। क्षेत्र में खनन कर रेत-मिट्टी बाहर निकालने से जलस्तर पूर्ववत हो सकता है। एनटीपीसी माइनिंग के लिए एनओसी राज्य सरकार को देने को तैयार है। IIT Roorkee के अनुसार 2022 में सिल्ट 7 हेक्टेयर और 2023 में 27 हेक्टेयर दर्ज; सुन्नी क्षेत्र में 2022 में 0.5 हेक्टेयर और 2023 में 10 हेक्टेयर; चाबा में 2022 में 1.7 हेक्टेयर से 2023 में 8 हेक्टेयर सिल्ट दर्ज। प्रभावित लोगों की परेशानी सुलझाने के लिये शिमला के उपायुक्त अनुपम कश्यप ने कोलडैम अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक की है। सोनार सर्वे जारी है, जिसकी रिपोर्ट 15 दिनों में आएगी। यह एक तकनीक है जिसमें ध्वनि तरंगें भेजकर अंशांकन किया जाता है; हिमाचल प्रदेश में यह पहली बार हो रहा है. लोक निर्माण विभाग ने कोल डैम बनने से सतलुज नदी के तल में बदलाव की रिपोर्ट दी है। 30 मार्च 2015 को कोल डैम बन चुका है। 2018-19 में डैम से जलस्तर बढ़ने के कारण चाबा हाइड्रो पावर को नुकसान पहुंचा; 2019 में मरम्मत हो गई। 2023 में चाबा ब्रिज पूरी तरह टूट गया; 15 करोड़ का नुकसान हुआ। 21 जुलाई को थली ब्रिज को 5 लाख का नुकसान; 13 अगस्त को ब्रिज के रेजिंग डेक को नुकसान। मरम्मत पर लगभग 10 करोड़ खर्च आयेगा। रिपोर्ट में सतलुज में गाद बढ़ना, तटों का कटाव, सड़क बह जाना और जमीनों का जलमग्न होना पाया गया। इसके अनुसार जलस्तर बढ़ने पर तत्तापानी, सुन्नी और तत्तापानी कस्बों में PSC Cantilever Bridge जलमग्न हो सकता है.

Patran, Punjab:14 दिसंबर को होने वाले ब्लॉक समिति चुनाव को लेकर हल्का शुतराना में आज नामांकन का अंतिम दिन रहा। इस मौके पर राजनीतिक दलों और स्वतंत्र उम्मीदवारों ने उत्साह के साथ नामांकन पत्र दाखिल किए। पूरे दिन माहौल शांतिपूर्ण रहा और प्रशासन की ओर से पुख्ता सुरक्षा प्रबंध किए गए। ब्लॉक समिति चुनाव के लिए कुल 124 उम्मीदवारों ने चुनाव लड़ने के लिए अपने-अपने नामांकन पत्र दाखिल किए। नामांकन प्रक्रिया सुबह 11 बजे से दोपहर 3 बजे तक एसडीएम कार्यालय पातड़ां में चली।

Noida, Uttar Pradesh:Himachal: Hindu orgs request Muslims to avoid Friday prayers at disputed Sanjauli mosque Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, December 5: Amid the dispute over the Sanjauli mosque structure in Shimla, Hindu organisations have appealed to the Muslim community to refrain from offering Friday prayers inside the controversial mosque building until the matter is settled in court. They cited the Himachal Pradesh High Court's directive to maintain the status quo and the earlier Municipal Commissioner's order regarding demolition of the top floors of the building. Narender Thakur, from Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti, said they respect the court's order and expect the decision scheduled for March 9 to uphold the lower court's ruling, which ordered the demolition of three upper floors of the mosque structure. He further appealed to the local Muslim community to maintain communal harmony by not entering the unauthorised structure for prayers until a final legal resolution is reached. Meanwhile, Vijay Sharma, Convenor of the organisation, reiterated that the High Court's status quo order must not be interpreted as permission to use the disputed section of the building for prayers. He urged the Muslim community to avoid any move that might escalate tensions and insisted that both communities should respect the judicial process. On the other hand, Sanjauli Mosque Committee Chairman, Lateef Negi, stated that the land belongs to the Waqf Board and the illegality pertains only to the additional construction. He assured that they would comply with the court order and remove one more floor soon, while asserting that Friday prayers should continue peacefully as before. Negi also appealed to all groups to maintain peace and abide by the court's directive until the case is fully resolved. Tension around the mosque has continued in recent weeks, but local leaders from both communities have expressed hope that harmony will be preserved while the legal proceedings continue.

Noida, Uttar Pradesh:New Delhi [India], December 4 (ANI): External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Thursday informed the Rajya Sabha that 73-year-old Indian citizen Harjit Kaur was maltreated while in US detention before being deported, and the Indian government has taken up the issue strongly with the American embassy following her arrival in the country. Speaking during the question hour in the upper house, the EAM stated that immigration officials of the Indian government routinely interview all deportees upon arrival. In this case, Jaishankar said that the immigration officer clarified that Kaur had not been handcuffed, contrary to some claims. However, he confirmed that she had been maltreated during her detention in the US before she was put on the flight to India. "Whenever any flight with deportees comes, the deportees are invariably interviewed by the officials of the Government of India. In this particular case, our immigration officer said that she was not cuffed," Jaishankar said. "While Harjit Kaur (deportee) was not handcuffed, she was maltreated in detention before she was put on the flight. We raised the matter of her maltreatment strongly with the American Embassy and asked the American authorities to look into it," he added. Harjit Kaur, a 73-year-old Sikh woman who had spent three decades in the United States, was deported by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to India in September. Kaur, who had unsuccessfully applied for asylum in the US, was arrested by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials on September 8. She moved to California in 1991 with her two young sons and lived and worked there while making several unsuccessful asylum attempts in the US. She was moved to a holding facility in Georgia on September 19 and deported to India on September 22, never getting to visit her US home or bid a proper farewell to family and friends. She spent 60-70 hours in detention without a bed, forced to sleep on the floor despite double knee replacements. She was given ice to take medication and denied food she could eat, with guards blaming her for her inability to eat the provided sandwich. Harjit Kaur has filed multiple appeals, all the way up to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and has lost each time
