Aram Pora, Ganderbal, Ganderbal: Former MLA Ganderbal and JKUM president Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar has criticised the National Conference (NC)-led government over what he described as its failure to fulfil election promises made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Jabbar alleged that the government secured votes by making promises to the public but has failed to deliver on its commitments after coming to power. He pointed out that the election manifesto had promised 12 free LPG cylinders per year to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, whereas the government is now offering six free cylinders annually to beneficiaries under the AAY. Jabbar said Jammu and Kashmir is already facing economic hardships and that ordinary citizens continue to struggle with rising financial pressures. He alleged that the government has failed to honour its election commitments and called for its dismissal, while strongly criticising the NC government over what he termed its failure to keep its promises to the people.0

Srinagar, Uttarakhand:MLAs Seek Crop Insurance and Loan Relief for Farmers in South Kashmir. MLA Rajpora, Pulwama, Mohidin Mir, has urged the Jammu and Kashmir Government to introduce and strengthen crop insurance coverage for farmers, particularly in view of recent losses caused by hailstorms, gusty winds and adverse weather conditions in South Kashmir. Raising the issue in the J&K Legislative Assembly, Mir said that recent weather-related damage has severely affected crops and created serious difficulties for farmers. He stressed that a large section of the population in South Kashmir depends on agriculture for its livelihood and that many farming families have limited alternative sources of income. Mir called for an effective insurance scheme for farmers so that they can receive compensation for crop losses caused by natural calamities. Supporting the demand, Shopian MLA Shabir Ahmad Kullay also called for wider implementation of crop insurance schemes. He urged the government to ensure that the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana reaches every eligible farmer in the region. Kullay also demanded relief for farmers facing outstanding KCC loans, saying that the government should consider waiving or restructuring such loans for farmers affected by crop losses. He pointed to previous instances of loan waivers and urged the government to consider similar relief measures for farmers. Farooq Wani Srinagar. The proposed legislation, titled the “Kashmiri Pandit and Migrant Re-integration Bill,” aims to address issues related to the return, rehabilitation and social reintegration of displaced members of the Kashmiri Pandit community. Speaking to Salaam TV, Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi said the proposed legislation seeks to establish a statutory Jammu and Kashmir Re-integration Commission to oversee the process of social healing, cultural restoration and community reconciliation. According to Mehdi, the proposed commission would provide an institutional mechanism to address the concerns of displaced communities and facilitate their meaningful reintegration into the social and cultural fabric of Jammu and Kashmir. Proposal to restructure Relief and Rehabilitation Department. The bill also proposes restructuring the existing Relief and Rehabilitation Department and transferring its existing assets, schemes and responsibilities to the proposed Re-integration Commission. Mehdi said the proposed framework is intended to provide a more comprehensive and institutional approach to the issue of displacement, rather than limiting the government’s role to relief measures alone. The proposed commission would focus on issues including social reconciliation, restoration of cultural ties and facilitating the dignified return and reintegration of displaced Kashmiri Pandits.0

The controversy gained attention after reports indicated that two Election Commissioners had repeatedly expressed dissent and formally objected to several decisions concerning the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and access to the centralised voter database. Srinagar, Uttarakhand:Over 21.81 lakh books examined in Jammu & Kashmir; 4,249 removed from libraries. The Jammu and Kashmir government removed 4,249 books from government and educational libraries following a large-scale screening across the Union Territory, with more than 21,81,582 books and publications scrutinised. Education Minister Sakina Itoo, while replying in the Legislative Assembly, said that 12,48,641 books were examined in the Kashmir division and 9,32,941 in the Jammu division. The government stated that 3,996 titles were removed from Kashmir and 253 from Jammu, with 1,752 titles referred for further expert examination. The exercise also involved removal of 518 copies of 19 titles previously banned. The move follows 2025 actions when several books were banned for alleged “false narratives” and glorification of terrorism, including titles like Azadi by Arundhati Roy and The Kashmir Dispute 1947–2012 by A.G. Noorani. Education Minister Sakina Itoo said the review aims to uphold constitutional values and promote academic standards and responsible citizenship. Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo said the banned books were removed in accordance with legal provisions. Several political leaders criticised the move, questioning its impact on access to regional history and memory, and the criteria and process for removal. Independent MLA Sheikh Khursheed Ahmad, PDP youth leader Waheed Parra, and others voiced concerns about removing literature from universities and libraries amid widespread online access. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah commented on the limited powers in some administrative matters. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expressed concern over removing books from educational institutions, while the government maintains the action is within the legal framework and intended for maintaining standards and values.0

New Delhi, Delhi:अलीपुर में घरेलू कलह का खूनी अंत: मुखमेलपुर गांव में पत्नी ने पति को बेरहमी से पीटा, एमसीडी (MCD) कर्मचारी की मौत; आरोपी पत्नी हिरासत में राजधानी दिल्ली के बाहरी-उत्तरी जिले के अलीपुर थाना क्षेत्र के अंतर्गत आने वाले मुखमेलपुर गांव से एक बेहद चौंकाने वाली और सनसनीखेज वारदात सामने आई है। यहाँ बीती रात घरेलू कलह के दौरान एक पत्नी ने अपने ही पति की इतनी बेरहमी से पिटाई कर दी कि देर रात इलाज या चोटों के चलते उसकी मौत हो गई। मृतक दिल्ली नगर निगम (MCD) में कार्यरत था। घटना की सूचना मिलते ही अलीपुर थाना पुलिस और फॉरेंसिक (FSL) की टीमें मौके पर पहुँच गई हैं। पुलिस ने आरोपी पत्नी को हिरासत में ले लिया है। अक्सर होता था झगड़ा, भाई और बेटे ने खोली पोल मृतक की पहचान रवि के रूप में हुई है, जो दिल्ली नगर निगम (MCD) में अपनी सेवाएं दे रहा था। स्थानीय सूत्रों और परिवार से मिली जानकारी के अनुसार, रवि और उसकी पत्नी के बीच वैवाहिक जीवन ठीक नहीं चल रहा था। मामले का खुलासा करते हुए मृतक रवि के बेटे और उसके सगे भाई ने पुलिस को बताया कि दोनों पति-पत्नी के बीच अक्सर किसी न किसी बात को लेकर विवाद होता रहता था। बीती रात भी बात इतनी बढ़ गई कि पत्नी ने तैश में आकर रवि को बुरी तरह पीट दिया, जिसके बाद देर रात उसकी मौत हो गई FSL और पुलिस टीम मौके पर, वैज्ञानिक साक्ष्य जुटाए गए एक सरकारी कर्मचारी की संदिग्ध परिस्थितियों में हुई मौत की गंभीरता को देखते हुए अलीपुर थाना पुलिस के साथ-साथ एफएसएल (Forensic Science Laboratory) की स्पेशल टीम तुरंत मुखमेलपुर गांव स्थित घटनास्थल पर पहुंची। फॉरेंसिक एक्सपर्ट्स ने घर के अंदर से उंगलियों के निशान (Fingerprints) और अन्य महत्वपूर्ण वैज्ञानिक साक्ष्य एकत्र किए हैं ताकि यह साफ हो सके कि मारपीट में किन चीजों का इस्तेमाल किया गया था और मौत की मुख्य शारीरिक वजह क्या रही। आरोपी पत्नी हिरासत में, पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट का इंतजार अलीपुर थाना पुलिस ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए आरोपी पत्नी को मौके से ही हिरासत में ले लिया है और थाने लाकर गहन पूछताछ कर रही है। पुलिस ने रवि के शव को कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए नजदीकी अस्पताल के शवगृह में सुरक्षित रखवा दिया है। पुलिस अधिकारियों का कहना है कि परिजनों के बयान दर्ज कर लिए गए हैं, और पोस्टमार्टम की विस्तृत रिपोर्ट आने के बाद ही मौत के सटीक कारणों का पता चल सकेगा। इस घटना के बाद से पूरे मुखमेलपुर गांव में मातम और सन्नाटा पसरा हुआ है।0

गंगा पुल निर्माण से पूर्व मध्य रेलवे के रूट प्रभावित, ट्रेनें रद्द-बदलीं मार्ग
Patna, Bihar:गंगा नदी पर बन रहे नए रेल पुल से जुड़े निर्माण कार्य के कारण आज पूर्व मध्य रेल के कई रूट पर ट्रेनों का परिचालन प्रभावित रहेगा। राजेंद्र पुल, मोकामा, हाथीदह जंक्शन, टाल, रामपुर डुमरा और दिनकर ग्राम सिमरिया स्टेशनों पर प्री-इंटरलॉकिंग और नॉन-इंटरलॉकिंग कार्य किया जा रहा है इसके चलते रेल यातायात में बदलाव किया गया है। रेल प्रशासन के मुताबिक कार्य के कारण कुल 24 ट्रेनों का परिचालन रद्द रहेगा जबकि 28 ट्रेनों को परिवर्तित मार्ग से चलाया जाएगा। प्रभावित ट्रेनों में खुर्दा रोड-पटना, हावड़ा-मोकामा, मोकामा-हावड़ा, हावड़ा-जयनगर, जयनगर-हावड़ा, हावड़ा-रक्सौल और आरा-कोलकाता गरीब रथ जैसी ट्रेनें शामिल हैं। इसके अलावा सियालदह-जयनगर, सहरसा-जयनगर, राजेंद्र नगर-सहरसा, आसनसोल-गोरखपुर एक्सप्रेस, भागलपुर-मुजफ्फरपुर, मुजफ्फरपुर-भागलपुर और मालदा टाउन-आनंद विहार समेत कई अन्य ट्रेनों का परिचालन भी प्रभावित रहेगा। रेल परिचालन में बदलाव के कारण यात्रियों को परेशानी का सामना करना पड़ सकता है। रेल प्रशासन ने यात्रियों से अपील की है कि यात्रा शुरू करने से पहले अपनी ट्रेन के परिचालन की स्थिति और रूट की जानकारी जरूर जाँच लें ताकि स्टेशन पहुंचने के बाद किसी तरह की परेशानी न हो。0

चावल कालाबाजारी मामला: जांच में चावल मिलान सही, पूर्व एमएलसी के आरोप
Jamui, Bihar:जमुई जिले में मध्याह्न भोजन योजना के चावल की कथित कालाबाजारी को लेकर चकाई में शुरू हुआ विवाद प्रशासनिक जांच के बाद भी थमने का नाम नहीं ले रहा है। बुधवार को रामचंद्रडीह-चकाई मार्ग पर चावल लदे डोर-स्टेप डिलीवरी वाहन को रोककर कालाबाजारी का आरोप लगाने के बाद पुलिस ने वाहन, चावल और चालक को कब्जे में लिया था। गुरुवार को संयुक्त प्रशासनिक जांच में वाहन में मौजूद चावल और विभागीय चालान का मिलान सही पाए जाने के बाद वाहन और चालक को मुक्त कर दिया गया। हालांकि, वाहन पकड़वाने वाले पूर्व एमएलसी संजय प्रसाद ने जांच के निष्कर्ष पर ही सवाल खड़े करते हुए पूरे मामले की उच्चस्तरीय जांच की मांग की है।0

बाजपुर के सफाई कर्मचारियों का नियमितीकरण मांग पर तेज धरना और पुतला फूंका गया
Jaspur, Uttarakhand:उत्तराखंड के ऊधम सिंह नगर जिले के बाजपुर में सफाई कर्मचारियों का आंदोलन एक बार फिर तेज हो गया है। नियमितीकरण और नई नियुक्तियों की मांग को लेकर सफाई कर्मचारी दोबारा धरने पर बैठ गए हैं। कर्मचारियों ने सफाई आयोग के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष भगवत प्रसाद मकवाना का पुतला फूंककर विरोध जताया। कर्मचारियों का आरोप है कि पहले दो महीने के भीतर समस्या के समाधान का आश्वासन दिया गया था, लेकिन समय बीतने के बाद भी नियुक्ति की प्रक्रिया आगे नहीं बढ़ी है। आंदोलन कर रहे सफाई कर्मचारियों के मुताबिक, बाजपुर में सफाई कर्मचारियों की आखिरी नियुक्ति वर्ष 1988-89 के आसपास हुई थी। इसके बाद नियमित नियुक्तियां नहीं होने से कर्मचारियों की संख्या और सफाई व्यवस्था को लेकर समस्याएं बनी हुई हैं। कर्मचारियों ने जल्द नियुक्ति प्रक्रिया शुरू करने और नियमितीकरण की मांग उठाई है। अपनी मांगों के समर्थन में सफाई कर्मचारियों ने सफाई आयोग के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष भगवत प्रसाद मकवाना का पुतला फूंककर विरोध दर्ज कराया। कर्मचारियों ने कहा कि उन्हें पहले दो महीने का समय दिया गया था, लेकिन निर्धारित समय बीतने के बावजूद उनकी समस्याओं का समाधान नहीं हुआ है। वहीं, सफाई कर्मचारियों ने बाजपुर की जनता से भी माफी मांगी है। कर्मचारियों का कहना है कि जब तक उनकी नियुक्ति और अन्य मांगों पर ठोस फैसला नहीं होता, तब तक वे बाजपुर में सफाई कार्य नहीं करेंगे। बाइट- सीता राम तिवारी0

Srinagar, Uttarakhand:J&K Assembly Passes Resolution Seeking TET Exemption for Teachers Appointed Before October 31, 2019.\n\nThe Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly passed by voice vote a resolution seeking exemption from the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for teachers appointed before October 31, 2019.\n\nThe resolution was moved by School Education Minister Sakeena Itoo and calls upon the Union Government to make necessary amendments to Section 23 of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009, to exempt teachers appointed before the specified cut-off date from appearing in the TET.\n\nIt also urges the Centre to take necessary legal steps and issue the requisite notification through the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).\n\nThe resolution was passed following a two-day debate in which members from the ruling and opposition benches discussed the concerns of teachers who have been serving the education sector for several years.\n\nWelcoming the move, National Conference leaders, including Nazir Ahmad Gurezi and Farooq Shah, along with Congress MLA Iftikhar Ahmad, supported the resolution. They said the concerns of teachers should be addressed and stressed the importance of a strong education system for the future of the region.\n\nOther political leaders, including the Deputy Chief Minister and several MLAs, also supported the resolution, describing the issue as one requiring urgent attention.\n\nMembers highlighted concerns among teachers regarding their professional future and the requirement to qualify the TET.\n\nEducation Minister Sakeena Itoo, while thanking the members for supporting the resolution, said it had been brought with the intention of addressing the concerns of teachers who have served the education sector for years. She emphasised the contribution of teachers towards educating students and helping them build their careers.\n\nThe move comes against the backdrop of the Supreme Court's ruling on the TET requirement under the RTE Act. The Court has held that TET constitutes a minimum qualification under the applicable legal framework for teachers covered by the Act.\n\nIn subsequent proceedings, the timeline for acquiring the TET qualification was extended to August 31, 2028, with the Court observing that the appropriate authorities should endeavour to conduct the examination periodically, preferably twice a year.\n\nThe Assembly's resolution, however, is a request to the Union Government for a statutory and regulatory change; it does not itself alter the requirements under the central law.\n\nThe proposed exemption would therefore require the necessary action at the Union Government and NCTE level.\n\nThe issue has generated considerable concern among sections of the teaching community in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly among teachers appointed before October 31, 2019.\n\nSupporters of the resolution argue that teachers who have already served for many years should be given protection from the new requirement, while the legal framework continues to require compliance with the applicable TET provisions.\n\nThe Jammu and Kashmir government will now await the Centre's response to the Assembly's resolution.\n\nMeanwhile, the House also rejected by voice vote a Private Members' Bill seeking to make enrolment in government schools mandatory for children of public representatives and government employees.0

Ranchi, Jharkhand:एसआईआर की प्रक्रिया को लेकर छिड़ा संग्राम छिड़ गया है राहुल गांधी ने मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त और पूरे एसआईआर की प्रक्रिया पर CEIC से लेकर केंद्र सरकार, पीएम मोदी और केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री तक पर निशाना साधते हुए पूछा, आखिर एंटी इनकंबेंसी समाप्त क्यों हो गया। सीईसी पर चुनावी धांधली को लेकर राहुल ने इस्तीफा मांगा तो बीजेपी हुई हमलावर। एसआईआर प्रक्रिया पर छिड़े घमासान के बीच झामुमो महासचिव सुप्रियो भट्टाचार्य ने प्रतिक्रिया देते हुए कहा, हमने शुरु से आशंका जताई थी सेलेक्टिव होकर बीजेपी के खिलाफ जो वोट हैं उन वोटों को आइडेंटिफाई कर पूरा प्रोसेस चला रहे हैं। बिहार से शुरु है, बंगाल में बड़े पैमाने पर नाम काटा गया फिर शामिल किया गया। पंजाब, दिल्ली और झारखंड में भी ऐसा ही कुछ हो रहा, पाप का घड़ा एक न एक दिन बाहर आना ही था। ज्ञानेश कुमार जिस तरह से काम कर रहे थे, बहुमत का भी ध्यान नहीं रखा, इसकी जांच सुप्रीम कोर्ट के मुख्य न्यायाधीश को अपने निगरانی में करना चाहिए। कांग्रेस प्रवक्ता सोनल शांति ने प्रतिक्रिया देते हुए कहा, निर्वाचन आयोग इस देश में पूरी तरह एक वही काम कर रहा है जो टास्क उसको दिया गया है। चुनाव आयोग में एक सिस्टम बना दिया गया है, जिसकी कीमत इस देश की जनता चुका रही है। देश की जनता को बीजेपी ने फिर से चुनाव आयोग के नोटिस का जवाब देने के लिए लाइनों में लगाने का काम किया है। चुनाव आयोग जिस प्रक्रिया को अपना रही उसमें पूरी तरह से फेल हो चुकी है। देश के नागरिकों को परेशान करने वाला जो सिस्टम आया है वो संविधान विरोधी है। जबकि बीजेपी नेता दीपक बंका ने राहुल गांधी के आरोपों पर पलटवार करते हुए कहा, निर्वाचन आयोग एक संवैधानिक संस्था है और उसकी निष्पक्षता पर सवाल उठाना संवैधानिक प्रावधानों पर सवाल उठाने जैसा है। भारत में कई बार एसआईआर हुआ है और नियमित अंतराल पर होता रहा है ताकि वोटर शुद्धिकरण हो और निष्पक्ष चुनाव हो सके। अवांछित वोटर के नाम हटे, विजात नाम जुटे। यही प्रक्रिया है। जो लोग आरोप लगा रहे हैं वो अनर्गल बयानबाजी कर रहे हैं। संविधान पर शंका व्यक्त कर रहे, जबकि निष्पक्ष प्रणाली के तहत काम हो रहा है। बीजेपी प्रदेश उपाध्यक्ष सरोज सिंह ने प्रतिक्रिया देते हुए कहा, अगर चुनाव आयोग छानबीन कर रहा है, नोटिस कर रहा है तो उसमें कहां गड़बड़ी है। केरल, तेलंगाना में भी एसआईआर हुआ वहां उनकी सरकार बनी तो अच्छा है, जहां नहीं बनी चुनाव आयोग खराब हो जा रहा है। एसआईआर से अगर शुद्धिकरण हो रहा है तो उसके लिए जो जो उपाय करना होगा किया जाएगा। सही लोगों को जवाब देने में क्या दिक्कत है।0
