हैदराबाद के Barkas में द्विमुखी हनुमान मंदिर के विनाश पर तनाव, पुलिस जांच जारी

Hyderabad: Tension prevailed in Barkas, Old City, after unidentified miscreants allegedly vandalised an idol at the historic Dwimukhi Hanuman Temple. Complainant Naveen Kumar Yadav approached the local police station and stated that the 300-year-old Hanuman idol is unique, depicting a rare two-faced (Dwimukhi) darshan of Lord Hanuman, which devotees believe is one of its kind. On Wednesday, the temple premises were found damaged, triggering anger among devotees and local residents. Members of several Hindu organisations condemned the incident and demanded immediate action against those responsible. Police reached the spot, inspected the area, and initiated an investigation. Security has been tightened in the locality to prevent any untoward incidents, Rajendra Nagar DCP Mr. Srinivas told the media. Meanwhile, senior advocate and Hindu organisation leader Mr. Kranthi Kiran questioned the safety of Hindu temples in Telangana and sought stringent measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents. Further details are awaited as the investigation continues. Note: On January 24, a Dharma Rakshana Sabha was held demanding strict action against alleged Bangladeshi infiltrators. Exactly 30 days later, this incident took place. Locals have raised suspicions and are demanding serious action, while police continue their investigation.
