A film titled Pashaan by Dharma Productions is currently being shot in Nagranar village of Rajwar Handwara in north Kashmir, drawing attention to the otherwise quiet and scenic locality. According to reports, a film crew comprising around 50-60 members has arrived in the area for the production. Several residents from nearby villages are also assisting the team by providing transport, food, logistics, and other support services. The shoot has created short-term employment opportunities for dozens of locals, with many youth working as guides and helpers for the crew. Local shopkeepers and transport operators have also reported an increase in business during the filming period. Residents believe such activities can significantly promote tourism in the region, as Nagranar is known for its lush green fields, surrounding mountains, and peaceful environment. Locals say this is the first time a film is being shot at this location in Handwara, and they hope more filmmakers will choose the area in the future, helping generate employment and showcase the natural beauty of the region.
